We are looking for a Director of Analytics to lead our healthcare analytics function through a pivotal transformation. This is not a steady-state management role &mdash; we are modernizing our client reporting infrastructure from the ground up, and you will own that mandate from vision to delivery. 

You will lead a team of analysts, partner closely with Customer Success, Customer Experience, and Data Engineering, and serve as the primary analytics thought partner to our internal and external stakeholders &mdash; including direct engagement with clients. The right person brings deep healthcare data expertise, a builder's mindset, and the credibility to earn trust with both technical teams and business partners quickly. 

This role sits at the center of how Collective Health uses data to serve its clients. Done well, it changes how our clients experience their benefits &mdash; and how our internal teams make decisions.

Strategic Leadership

<li>Lead initiatives to improve claims adjudication accuracy, reduce denials, and enhance payment integrity</li>
<li>Drive AI-informed analytics &mdash; leveraging LLMs, RAG architecture, and generative AI tools to deliver smarter, faster insights at scale</li>
<li>Data Management &amp; Reporting</li>
<li>Direct the development of dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs that monitor performance across the claims lifecycle and client experience</li>

<li>Build the data contract and observability framework that protects both the analytics team and its downstream consumers</li>

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

Required

<li>Healthcare domain expertise &mdash; deep, working knowledge of claims data, member data, payer-provider models, and the regulatory environment (HIPAA, ICD, CPT, HCPCS, HL7, EDI 837); this is required, not preferred</li>
<li>10+ years in healthcare analytics with 3+ years in claims processing analytics and 3+ years leading analytics teams</li>
<li>Proven transformation experience &mdash; has modernized or built an analytics function from scratch, not just managed inherited infrastructure</li>
<li>Technical fluency in the modern data stack &mdash; Looker (or equivalent BI platform), SQL, dbt, cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery), orchestration tooling (Airflow or equivalent)</li>

<li>Facilitate prioritization of analytics requests based on business value, technical feasibility, resource availability, and strategic alignment.</li>
<li>Collaborate with business partners to develop business cases and support demand intake, evaluation, and decision-making.</li>
<li>Partner with business owners to refine scope, clarify priorities, and manage expectations throughout the request lifecycle.</li>
<li>Educate users on platform capabilities, limitations, and best practices to improve solution adoption and effective use.</li>

Analytics Requirements Solution Definition

<li>Proactively engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, data requirements, and desired outcomes</li>
<li>Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, business rules, use cases, and acceptance criteria for technical teams.</li>
<li>Document current-state and future-state processes, data requirements, assumptions, and dependencies to support solution design and implementation.</li>
<li>Partners with architects, data engineers, data scientists, developers, and other IT colleagues design fit-for-purpose data and analytics solutions and evaluate design trade-offs.</li>

Delivery and Support
 
<ul>
<li>Lead projects and enhancements to implement, optimize, or expand analytics solutions across analytics platforms, including dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data flows.</li>
<li>Coordinate testing activities, including system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality expectations.</li>
<li>Support stabilization of deployed solutions by troubleshooting issues, monitoring performance, and coordinating resolution of defects or enhancement needs.</li>
<li>Coordinate transition of analytics solutions for ongoing support, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration with support teams and end users.</li>
<li>Monitor user adoption and solution effectiveness after deployment and identify opportunities for enhancement or continuous improvement based on feedback and business needs.</li>

Qualifications
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related technical field. Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related technical field is preferred.</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in IT, analytics, business analysis, data analysis, or a related field.</li>
<li>Experience partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate business needs into functional requirements and solution recommendations.</li>
<li>Strong data and analytics skills, including experience with SQL, data manipulation, data flows, integration of multiple data sources, and reporting or data visualization tools.</li>
<li>Experience supporting analytics solutions such as dashboards, reports, scorecards, or other data products through requirements, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.</li>
<li>Knowledge of data quality, reporting validation, and governance practices that support accurate, consistent, and reliable analytics outputs.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or preferred similar technologies.</li>
<li>Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.</li>

Salary Range: $145,120 - $181,400
 
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
