Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide direct casework services to clients of the agency. The work is performed under the direction of the Casework Supervisor.Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. Develop and implement individualized care plans with measurable outcomes in collaboration with students, faculty, and guardian.
</li><li>Create documents, maintain databases, and send letters, memos, and emails.
</li><li>Assist individuals in person, via phone calls, virtually and by email providing knowledgeable and informed information and responses.
</li><li>Provide ongoing case management, including regular follow-up, monitoring, and adjusting care plans as needed.
</li><li>Provide case management services including, as minimum, assessment, referral, and monitoring/follow-up.
</li><li>Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with customers, staff, funders, community partners while promoting a positive reflection of CAC and the Community Empowerment Department.
</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of systems of care, entitlements and benefits, and cultural awareness.

</li><li>Monitor clients' progress towards achieving their health and social goals, adjusting services as necessary.
</li><li>Provide information about prevention, education, and health promotion programs available in the community.
</li><li>Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities 
The Christmas Box House in Ogden is looking for qualified candidates to fill their Assistant Caseworker positions for Swing Shift, Graveyard Shift, and Weekends. Assistant Caseworkers help provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children between the ages of 0-20 who are in need of safety and care; and assist professional social staff by providing support with direct client services. Teamwork is key to preserving the health, safety, and well-being of children in custody. They accomplish this by performing the following tasks:

Supervising and providing care for infants, toddlers, and youth in custody.</li><li>
Maintaining detailed logs for each child in custody.</li><li>
Transporting children to school, youth activities, and/or visits.</li><li>
Maintaining cleanliness of the facility such as vacuuming, cooking, and cleaning.</li><li>
Assisting with inputting data on computerized systems and maintaining case files.</li><li>

A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably a degree in Social Work or comparable human services field (Substitutions allowed); and, Two or more years of professional experience with a public or private agency in the delivery of protective services, including casework/case management in: investigation of abuse or neglect; coordination of foster care, adoptions, and family centered services; treatment/rehabilitation; and/or providing in-home family crisis intervention services, and possession of a valid vehicle operator&rsquo;s license.
(A combination of earned credit hours from an accredited college or university in the preferred fields such as social work, family and child development, special education, psychology, sociology, or related behavioral sciences and experience described may substitute for the stated qualifications. 30 credit hours are equivalent to 1 year of experience. Professional experience as described must be of a substantial period of time (over 50% of time)).</li>

<div><div>This is a merit hire position. The starting pay rate for this position is $23.77. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Dauphin County Children &amp; Youth Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Caseworker 2. The Caseworker 2 performs social service casework and case management for children, adolescents and their families by conducting interviews, assessing needs, and case planning. He/she establishes and maintains associated confidential records and collaborates with legal staff in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings pursuant to clients&rsquo; well-being. The Caseworker 2 may make task assignments to a Social Service Aide and reports directly to the Caseworker Supervisor.</div> 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:<ul><li><div> 
Six months of experience as a CYS Caseworker 1.</div></li></ul><ul><li><div> 
Or successful completion of the Social Casework Intern program.</div></li></ul><ul><li><div> 
Or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare or Social Work major.</div></li></ul><ul><li><div> 
Or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences, and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency.</div></li></ul> 
Other Requirements:
At the time of hire, a valid driver&rsquo;s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver&rsquo;s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver&rsquo;s license under 67 PA. Code &sect; 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.
