 Responsibilities

Provide patient focused Critical Care Medicine and ensure optimal clinical care of patients in the department in line with the clinical privileges granted.
</li><li> Work within a multidisciplinary team with a personalized and caring attitude.
</li><li>Provide leadership, supervision, and support to junior clinical staff. Help develop and participate in a postgraduate training program for all clinical staff.
</li><li> Development, implementation, and revision of the department&rsquo;s scope of services.
</li><li>Foley Catheter insertion and removal.
</li><li>Peripheral intravenous access and removal.
</li><li>Nasogastric tube insertion and removal.
</li><li>Cardiac Telemetry/EKG rhythm interpretation.
</li><li> Operational responsibility for the identification of resources required for his/her department, and the effective utilization of the said resources within budgetary guidelines.
</li><li> To understand and comply with the principles of clinical governance, specifically.
</li><li>Leading quality improvement initiatives within the department.
</li><li> Assessing risk, incident reports and participating in risk management.

 Qualification

Requires Medical degree with Specialization Degree in Critical care medicine.
</li><li> Minimum 3 years of experience post specialization in Critical Care medicine.
</li><li> BLS and ACLS certification.

Key Responsibilities
 Lead and manage care for critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced life support.
 Diagnose and treat complex pulmonary conditions such as ARDS, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary hypertension.
 Perform advanced procedures including bronchoscopy, EBUS, thoracentesis, and central line placement.
 Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiology, cardiology, infectious disease, and emergency medicine.

 Mentor junior physicians and contribute to CME programs and academic activities.
 
Qualifications & Experience
 Board Certification: American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
 Experience: Minimum 5–7 years post-board certification in a tertiary or academic hospital setting.
 Licensure: DHA eligibility or license preferred; support provided for licensing process.
 Proven expertise in managing high-acuity ICU cases and pulmonary diagnostics.
 Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
