Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Online Support and Academic Technology, the Associate Director of Academic Technology Solutions plays a critical role in advancing the School of Professional Studies&rsquo; (SPS) use of educational technologies to support high-quality teaching, learning, and operations across all modalities. The incumbent leads initiatives that enhance the digital learning experience, strengthen instructional delivery, and improve academic operations by strategically integrating technology to drive innovation.

This role oversees the full lifecycle of the SPS Academic Technology Stack from vendor evaluation and procurement through implementation, training, interoperability, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, security standards, and accessibility requirements. The Associate Director collaborates with faculty, program directors, and colleagues across Online Curriculum and Instruction (OCI), including Instructional Design, Faculty Assessment and Development, and Online Support and Academic Technology subteams, to develop scalable, sustainable solutions for technology-enhanced learning.

A key focus of this position involves leading pilots and evaluations of innovative technologies, including AI-enabled tools and learning management system (LMS) solutions, to assess their pedagogical value, usability, and alignment with SPS&rsquo;s digital learning strategy. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education &amp; CDP Director, this role involves leading and supporting the development and implementation of pedagogical and curricular initiatives aligned with the mission and vision of the Center for Dialogue and Pluralism (CDP) and the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (OVPUE). 
 
This is a full-time, remote within the United States, 2-year term position. 
Responsibilities of the position include:<ul><li>
Researching and evaluating scholarly advancements in education, advising OVPUE leadership on pedagogical developments.</li><li>
Leading the creation of materials to support the integration of CDP models across the university.</li><li>
Partnering with the CDP director to advocate for CDP&rsquo;s programs and mission beyond Cornell.
</li><li>Additionally, the position entails providing strategic leadership for writing and publication efforts, focusing on disseminating research and findings through reports, presentations, and articles to a broad audience, as well as developing grant applications that advance research projects and program development.

Reporting to the Network Director of Curriculum and Instruction: STEM, the Associate Director of High School Science &amp; Technology is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of DREAM&rsquo;s rigorous, interdisciplinary High School&ndash;only STEM, AI Literacy, and Design curriculum. This role ensures that High School courses are vertically coherent within grades 9&ndash;12, aligned to college- and career-ready outcomes, and grounded in constructivist, culturally and historically responsive instructional practices.

The Associate Director collaborates closely with school-based leaders to design and facilitate high-quality professional development; coaches High School leaders and teachers around content and pedagogy; ensures strong curriculum implementation; develops unit, interim, and course-level assessments; and analyzes student data to inform instructional and curricular decisions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in High School science, engineering, technology, and emerging AI literacy instruction, along with a strong commitment to equity, innovation, and adult learning.

<li>Develop, design, and maintain a rigorous, coherent, and interdisciplinary grades 9&ndash;12 Science, Technology, Engineering, AI Literacy, and Design curriculum that fosters achievement for all students, reflects constructivist learning principles, is culturally and historically responsive, and builds students&rsquo; critical consciousness, problem-solving, and design thinking skills;

<li>Select, adapt, and/or create High School course curricula, unit plans, lesson plans, performance tasks, projects, and instructional materials across science, engineering, technology, AI literacy, and design pathways;

<li>Collaborate with the Network Director of STEM and key stakeholders to design and execute a multi year High School curriculum revision and codification strategy, ensuring alignment to standards, graduation requirements, and postsecondary readiness;

<li>Design and develop High School course-level, unit-level, and interim assessments, including project-based and performance-based measures aligned to instructional goals;

<li>Engage in observation, coaching, and feedback cycles with High School content leads and teachers, in coordination with school leaders, to strengthen pedagogy, content knowledge, and instructional coherence;

<li>Serve as a model of exemplary High SchoolSTEM, AI Literacy, and Design instruction across the network.

</h3><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required; Master&rsquo;s degree in Education, Curriculum &amp; Instruction, STEM Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred;
