Ensure clinical and operational compliance with Illinois DHS Rule 132, CARF accreditation standards, CCBHC certification requirements, Medicaid/Medicare, DCFS, and 42 CFR Part 2.</li><li>

Master&rsquo;s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related human services field.</li><li>
Applicants must be independently licensed to practice clinically in Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LP). Candidates with equivalent independent licensure in another state must be eligible for Illinois licensure.</li><li>

</div>About this role:
<div>
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) under the supervision of the Site Medical Director and other site Physicians, offers a comprehensive range of medical services to incarcerated patients in accordance with established policy and state guidelines. They ensure necessary documentation of services is provided to the Site Medical Director or designee to monitor the provision of clinical services. Additionally, they communicate scheduling changes to the Medical Director and H.S.A. and make arrangements for coverage of medical services if unavailable for an extended period of time.</div>
What you bring to the table:

Education</div><ul><li>
A graduate of an accredited school of nursing</li><li>
An advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Experience</div><ul><li>
Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred.</li><li>
Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate patient population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment.</li><li>
Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage.</li></ul><div></div><div><br>
Licenses/Certifications</div><ul><li>
Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment.</li><li>
Must have and maintain current CPR certification.</li></ul>
What you will do:
<ul><li>Conducts routine and emergency medical care for inmates, including chronic care clinics, infirmary rounds, and emergency treatment on-site.</li><li>
Adheres to established policies and procedures for medical care, including documentation in SOAP format, adherence to formulary regimens, and utilizing available in-house resources for treatment.</li><li>
Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions, while also reporting any concerns or questions to the Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.</li><li>
Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with accepted practices for incarcerated individuals.</li><li>
Provides input into facility mandatory committees as requested.</li></ul><br>
