This position supports continuity of care for clients receiving psychiatric services and ensures provider protocols and operations comply with applicable Florida statutes and licensing regulations.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Essential Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide oversight and consultation to psychiatric staff, including Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), and support the Clinical Director in alignment with agency protocols.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure all practitioners providing psychiatric services hold current, active, and unencumbered Florida licenses.</li>
<li>Review referral and service agreements that involve psychiatric care to ensure alignment with clinical standards and regulatory expectations.</li>
<li>Ensure that all psychiatric practitioners maintain appropriate licensure and credentials based on the level of care provided, in coordination with Human Resources.</li>

<li>Establish and maintain protocols required by the Florida Department of Health and Board of Nursing for APRNs employed by MAHCS.</li>
<li>Provide short-term medication coverage or emergency consultation when an ARNP is unavailable (e.g., vacation), with the goal of preventing interruptions in care that may result in clinical instability or crisis for clients.</li>
<li>Participate in policy development, chart audits, or quality assurance processes as needed to ensure the psychiatric program adheres to best practices and accreditation standards.</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:</b></p>

JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Medical Assistant is a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant who plays a key role assisting in the clinical care of patients according to the scope of duties described in RCW 18.360.050.</p><p>
The Lead Medical Assistant helps to ensure that care is conducted in accordance with established standards of care and organizational policies and procedures. The Lead Medical Assistant works with the Medical Director and Clinical Nurse Director to review clinical policies and procedures, to follow compliance policies and procedures and to participate in quality improvement programs.</p></div><br>
