<div>The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and the University of Washington (UW) are jointly recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Associate Professor level without tenure due to funding ( WOT), to serve as Director of Translational Cancer Care Delivery. This leadership role is designed for an individual with expertise in clinical oncology and clinical data science who will bridge innovation in data-driven research with real-world cancer care delivery.
The Director will lead the development and implementation of advanced clinical data ecosystems derived from electronic health records (EHRs), with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes, accelerating translational research, and enhancing clinical trial access. This role emphasizes scalable, AI-enabled approaches to extracting and operationalizing clinical and molecular data across institutional and community care settings. The position will combine leadership, research, mentorship, and clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of integrated clinical data ecosystems that leverage structured and unstructured electronic health record data to advance translational research and cancer care delivery. Lead the design, deployment, and evaluation of AI-enabled tools to derive clinically meaningful phenotypes, identify disease progression and treatment response, and support patient identification for clinical trials, biomarker-driven therapies, and supportive care interventions. Partner with institutional and community sites to expand access to harmonized clinical data, enabling population analytics, trial feasibility assessments, and improved care delivery across a broader network. Establish and lead an independent, externally funded research program in clinical data science focused on integrating clinical and molecular datasets to generate real-world evidence and support causal inference. Contribute to high-quality clinical care (20&ndash;30% effort) within a defined oncology specialty, including participation in clinical trials. Provide mentorship and career development for trainees, particularly those focused on Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR). The position will be primarily appointed in the Clinical Research Division (CRD) at Fred Hutch and based at the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR), a multidisciplinary research group focused on cancer outcomes research. The position also includes a joint appointment in the UW Division of Hematology and Oncology, department of Medicine. The position will report to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of the CRD at Fred Hutch and Hematology and Oncology Division Head at UW with a dotted line to the Director of HICOR.
Appointment at Fred Hutch and UW would be at the rank of Associate Professor WOT on the Physician Scientist track. Academic appointments at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Associate Professors WOT hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.

Meet or exceed annual sales goals for new-logo revenue, total signed awards, and qualified pipeline generation.</li><li>
Serve as a strategic commercial leader in Emmes' core therapeutic areas, with broad familiarity across the portfolio and recognized subject-matter depth in Hematology and Oncology.</li><li>
Partner closely with therapeutic area, operational, and executive leadership teams to shape compelling win strategies and customer-specific solutions.</li><li>
Lead client meetings, capability presentations, strategic account reviews, and bid defense activities to advance and close new business opportunities.</li><li>
Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene, opportunity tracking, competitive intelligence reporting, and account planning to support forecasting accuracy and commercial execution.</li><li>
Monitor competitor activity, awarded studies, and sponsor buying patterns to reduce missed opportunities and improve Emmes' ability to engage earlier in the decision cycle.</li><li>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree required in a scientific, clinical, healthcare, or business discipline; advanced degree preferred.</li><li>
Minimum 5 years of business development experience, with substantial direct experience selling CRO services to biotech and/or pharmaceutical sponsors.</li><li>
Prior CRO industry experience is required.</li><li>
Demonstrated track record of winning new business, opening new accounts, and expanding commercial relationships in complex, consultative sales environments.</li><li>
Experience engaging sponsor decision-makers at the C-suite levels across clinical development, clinical operations, procurement, and executive leadership.</li><li>
Strong understanding of the clinical development lifecycle and how CROs are engaged before, during, and after formal sourcing processes.</li><li>
Demonstrated success in the Hematology and Oncology therapeutic area.</li><li>

Job Summary
 
The District Manager (DM) represents Daiichi-Sankyo to assigned customers. The DM hires, leads, and manages a team of Oncology Territory Managers and is accountable for the compliant promotion of the assigned product with the assigned customers.

Conducts field travel with each District Representative on a consistent basis, calling on key accounts, institutions and customers as assigned by the Company.
 
Completes Field Coaching Reports within 48 hours after each field ride.
 
Explains and pulls through incentive compensation plan designs.
 
Monitors District compliance of Field Sales promotional activity, ensuring appropriate reporting procedures are taking place.
 
Identifies and acknowledges individual strengths and needs within the District.
 
Maintains awareness of the development of employees within the District by working closely with employees and their Individual Development Plans.
