   Responsible for implementing a recurring training program for team members and residents in basic emergency management and on existing and new emergency operations plans and policies. Additional training requirements include basic incident management and incident command. Coordinates training with outside agencies to ensure readiness for a variety of emergency scenarios.

   Creates, coordinates, and oversees After Action Reports. Ensures action items are resolved in a timely manner. Reviews outcomes and action plans with Executive Team.

  Required Qualifications

   Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Emergency Management, Risk Management, Business Administration, or similar program, with at least 8 years of prior emergency management experience working within a state or local emergency management program, healthcare, higher education, or similar organization&rsquo;s emergency management program is required.

   Experience managing or responding to incidents as part of an incident management team.
  </li>

<div><p><b>Summary</b></p>
<p>
The Director of Safety and Security is responsible for guiding, implementing, and managing safety and security measures and protocols to help ensure a safe and secure environment for students, employees, and visitors.</p>
<p>
The Director will have a background in and strong understanding of safety, security, and crisis management best practices, and will be able to train stakeholders and implement practices into daily school operations. They will be a visible presence throughout the campus, and they will foster strong partnerships with local law enforcement and other community members.</p>
<p>
A typical day will likely include morning traffic and greeting, patrols of the building exterior and interior, office time (for training preparations, security video review, process documentation, etc.), building monitoring, and end of day traffic and building exit support in the afternoon.</p>
<p>
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in physical security, emergency preparedness, and facilities safety operations along with a strong desire to participate in a Catholic school community.</p>
<p>
Candidates will be expected to build strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and other community partners. This position will work closely with many stakeholder groups, both within and outside of the school.</p>
<p>
This is a 10-month exempt position reporting to the CFO.</p>
<p>
Compensation for this role is expected to be $65,000 and up.</p>

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines.
