Reporting to the Network Director of Curriculum and Instruction: STEM, the <b>Associate Director of High School Science &amp; Technology</b> is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of DREAM&rsquo;s rigorous, interdisciplinary High School&ndash;only STEM, AI Literacy, and Design curriculum. This role ensures that High School courses are vertically coherent within grades 9&ndash;12, aligned to college- and career-ready outcomes, and grounded in constructivist, culturally and historically responsive instructional practices.</p>

The Associate Director collaborates closely with school-based leaders to design and facilitate high-quality professional development; coaches High School leaders and teachers around content and pedagogy; ensures strong curriculum implementation; develops unit, interim, and course-level assessments; and analyzes student data to inform instructional and curricular decisions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in High School science, engineering, technology, and emerging AI literacy instruction, along with a strong commitment to equity, innovation, and adult learning.</p>

<li><p>Develop, design, and maintain a rigorous, coherent, and interdisciplinary grades 9&ndash;12 Science, Technology, Engineering, AI Literacy, and Design curriculum that fosters achievement for all students, reflects constructivist learning principles, is culturally and historically responsive, and builds students&rsquo; critical consciousness, problem-solving, and design thinking skills;</p>

<li><p>Select, adapt, and/or create High School course curricula, unit plans, lesson plans, performance tasks, projects, and instructional materials across science, engineering, technology, AI literacy, and design pathways;</p>

<li><p>Collaborate with the Network Director of STEM and key stakeholders to design and execute a multi year High School curriculum revision and codification strategy, ensuring alignment to standards, graduation requirements, and postsecondary readiness;</p>

BASIC FUNCTION: </b>This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Library in overseeing the daily operations of the library, including circulation, interlibrary loan, adult programming, collection management, and information services.<br>

<b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div><ul><li>
Assists the Director in the operation of the library including the development of library policies, maintenance of patron accounts, responding to patron reference questions, circulation of books and materials, cataloging, technology updates, programs, and related services.</li><li>
Shares supervision of library staff and volunteers, including scheduling, supervision of the circulation desk, interlibrary loans, clerical staff, hiring, employee evaluations, and opening and closing the building as needed.</li><li>
Conducts orientation and training and professional development opportunities for staff and volunteers.</li><li>
Supports the Director with financial and budget planning and management, including preparing payroll, hiring, scheduling, and maintaining staff operations.</li><li>
Maintains the Library website and social media presence; promote Library events to local organizations.</li><li>
Oversees Inter Library Loan operations including network issues, incomplete returns and out-of-new Inter Library Loans.</li><li>
Plans and schedules adult programs and performances with Director; seeks grant opportunities for programming and collaborates with other community organizations on programming.</li><li>
Supervises operations, maintenance, and programming in Maker Space and Tech Lab.</li><li>
Coordinates the Historical Collection, the Library of Things, and the Homebound delivery program.</li><li>
Oversees adult print collection management; selects adult fiction and non-fiction; tracks high demand items; monitors usage and circulation statistics; weeds adult print collections as needed.</li><li>
Responds to patron requests, suggestions, technical issues, and resolves service issues.</li><li>
Attends library workshops or seminars to maintain knowledge of new developments in library science and related services including technology.</li><li>
Monitors the Library building and grounds to ensure proper maintenance and recommends improvements and repairs.</li><li>
Fills in for the Director in the Director&rsquo;s absence.</li><li>
Performs other related job duties as required.</li></ul><div><b>

Master's of Library and Information Science.</li><li>

In the absence of the full-time administrative team, maintains the efficient operations of the library and tutoring center, including staffing, access services, building and equipment maintenance, and closing procedures.</li><li>
Assists patrons with library and tutoring inquiries, including creating accounts and scheduling in person and online help.</li><li>
Serves as a Reference Librarian as needed.</li><li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div><div><ul><li>
