Under the direction and supervision of a licensed <b>Physical Therapist</b>, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides therapeutic treatments to residents through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. The PTA documents patient progress and communicates treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.</p>

<ul><li>Provide therapy services to residents with <b>musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, balance impairments, and gait or transfer deficits</b></li><li>Deliver treatment <b>only after receiving a written physician order and treatment plan from the Registered Physical Therapist (RPT)</b></li><li>Accurately <b>document all treatments, progress notes, and required therapy records</b></li><li>Participate in <b>facility meetings, training sessions, and required in-services</b></li><li>Assist the facility in maintaining <b>state, federal, and regulatory compliance standards</b></li><li>Follow all <b>infection control policies and OBRA Resident Rights guidelines</b></li><li>Manage and coordinate <b>resident treatment schedules and caseloads</b></li><li>Communicate with the <b>Director of Rehabilitation (DOR)</b> when productivity levels indicate the need for additional support or resident screenings</li><li>Maintain <b>professional conduct, communication, and appearance</b> while in the facility</li><li>Perform <b>other duties as assigned</b> by the Director of Rehabilitation or facility leadership</li></ul>

The PTA works under the direction of a <b>Registered Physical Therapist (RPT)</b>, carrying out treatment plans as prescribed. All therapy documentation will be reviewed and signed by the supervising Physical Therapist.</p>
