Job Description</p><p><b>
Primary Function of Position
</b><br>
The <b>Cardiovascular Program Specialist (CVPS)</b> will provide expert clinical support, education, and training to physicians, nurses, and hospital staff on the use of DaVinci cardiac surgery, devices and therapies. This role partners closely with the sales team, specifically the Cardiovascular Sales Manager (CVSM) to ensure safe and effective product adoption while driving positive patient outcomes. This role is part of a small team of strategic sales professionals across the country who are focused on developing cardiac surgeons, and all those associated with cardiac programs.</p><p><b>
Clinical Support &amp; Case Coverage</b></p><ul><li>
Provide on-site case support in the operating room or hybrid OR for procedures involving robotic cardiac procedures and surgery technologies.</li><li>
Serve as a clinical expert for product setup, troubleshooting, and optimal use during live cases.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols.</li><li>
Expand the user base collaborating with CVSM to cultivate a training pipeline of new surgeons.</li><li>
Exhibit proficiency in multiple technology platforms to effectively support DaVinci adoption of Multiport Single Port, digital solutions, and customer needs.</li><li>
Promote advanced instruments and accessories to enhance surgical performance and promote surgeon autonomy.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for expanding the use of the da Vinci&reg; Surgical Systems and strengthening Intuitive's partnership with healthcare facilities.</li></ul><p><b>
Training &amp; Education</b></p><ul><li>
Conduct training for physicians and care team members on indications and proper use of robotic platforms.</li><li>
Administer individualized surgeon and care team training sessions onsite and assist with organizing appropriate mentoring programs.</li><li>
Support new site start-ups by delivering onboarding programs and in-services.</li><li>
Act as a resource for ongoing education and product updates.</li><li>
Design and implement tailored da Vinci&reg; pathways for surgeons and surgical teams to ensure proficient and autonomous system use, by providing recurring care team training as needed.</li><li>
Maintain flexibility to support after-hours cases and provide weekend support as needed, dictated by the territory's adoption of robotic surgery.</li></ul><p><b>
Collaboration &amp; Sales Partnership</b></p><ul><li>
Partner with local ISI sales team, leadership, customer training, and business partners to execute the appropriate clinical plan for surgeons and surgical teams to ensure system autonomy within a reasonable time frame</li><li>
Provide clinical insights to the commercial team to shape strategy and drive business growth.</li><li>
Participate in physician education programs, workshops, and regional/national conferences.</li><li>
Facilitate the adoption of our digital solutions through enhancing our customer infrastructure and capabilities.</li><li>
Communicate and collaborate with ancillary equipment manufacturers to develop strategies to ensure overall programmatic success</li></ul><p><b>
Market &amp; Clinical Insights</b></p><ul><li>
Collect and communicate customer feedback to internal teams (sales, marketing, R&amp;D).</li><li>
Stay up to date on clinical literature, competitive products, and evolving treatment guidelines.</li><li>

Experience: 2+ years in a cardiac-related clinical role (electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, or critical care).</li><li>

The Clinical Specialist, Cardiothoracic (CT) position provides strategic account management, expertise, and support with respect to Getinge Cardiac Assist products in an identified geographical area. The position provides customer training and education on responsible product portfolio including supporting product evaluations. The position supports and collaborates with the implementation team to ensure successful client outcomes. The position also indirectly sells and promotes Getinge Cardiac Surgery products within the defined geographic territory, by focusing on key accounts and expanding the usage of Cardiac Surgery products through clinical evaluations, presentations, and customer support. <b>This territory will support the Central Region.</b></div><br>

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Serve as a key business partner to clients in the field, by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.</li>
<li>Develop and understand Business Plans for assigned geographic territory.</li>
<li>Develop relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other departments within the hospital.</li>
<li>Proactively understand customer needs and when complaints arise regarding products, develops creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel (e.g., clinical research, marketing) to develop optimal solutions.</li>
<li>Support the needs of the client, including but not limited to product demonstrations, in-services, case support, product complaints etc. In addition, identifying types of cases handled by specific customers by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of physicians and other hospital personnel to learn which Getinge products can best address their specific needs.</li>
<li>Observe actual procedures within varying departments of hospital accounts to gain insight into the specific nuances of each physician and each member of the clinical staff. Support in-services and staff training on assigned products.</li>
<li>Ongoing discussion and reviews with local reps to provide input on the needs, issues, and suggestions in the development of their business plans, to help the organization achieve its annual Cardiac Surgery sales goals.</li>
<li>Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals).</li>
<li>Establish and maintain a business climate that fosters positive and cooperative working relationships with customers, and all Getinge personnel, resolve problems that may develop to the mutual benefit of the customer and Getinge.</li>
<li>Comply with all health and safety codes and procedures as mandated by Getinge policies, customer requirements and regulatory agencies.</li>
<li>Support existing products utilized by customers and support new Cardiac Surgery installations as needed during regular visits with current customers and/or potential Cardiac Surgery customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives assigned by company on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.</li>

Minimum Requirements</b></div>

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>Minimum combined 5 year&rsquo;s applicable clinical experience in a Hospital environment and/or sales support including product education and training required.</li>

<li>Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and familiarity with CRM tools.</li>

<li>May work extended hours during peak business cycles.</li>
<li>The position requires travel of approximately 50% or more.</li>
