Under the direction and supervision of the Youth Recreation Supervisor, the position will assist with developing and managing youth programming at the Park District with a focus on Summer Day Camp and CARE (before/after school program). The Youth Program Coordinator is directly responsible for the development and implementation of the Park District&rsquo;s School Days Off and Parents&rsquo; Night out programs.<br>
</p><p><b><i>Hours</i></b><br>
This position is full-time hourly position with a minimum of 40 hours a week. General work hours will take place Monday through Friday to ensure on-site support and supervision of programs; some evening and weekend hours are expected due to the nature of the programs. One Saturday a month and most School District 50 and 56 days off of school will be worked for direct program supervision.</p><p><b><i>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</i></b></p><ul><li>
Serve as an on-site supervisor for Day Camp. Manage daily program operations, supervise and support staff, ensure child safety and supervision standards, and address parent and camper concerns in coordination with the Youth Recreation Supervisor.
</li><li>Assist with CARE (before/after school program) by managing assigned administrative duties, serving as the primary substitute for Site Directors, working directly within the program at least one hour each day to accommodate early release school schedules, supporting staff in behavior management, and communicating with parents as assigned.
</li><li>Develop, oversee, and evaluate the Days Off and Parent&rsquo;s Night Out programs, including planning age-appropriate activities and schedules, coordinating and guiding staff and volunteers, managing registration and waitlists, and providing clear, timely communication to parents, staff, and participants.</li><li>
Manage administrative tasks for youth programs with accuracy and timeliness, including preparing monthly attendance and sign-in/out forms, monitoring program forms for completion, developing camp bus schedules and calendars, internal program flyers, incident/accident and behavior reports, etc.
</li><li>Research, plan, and coordinate field trips and program entertainment. This process includes assessing options, preparing detailed plans, ensuring contract and payment requirements are satisfied in advance of each event, and communicating effectively with staff to ensure a safe, engaging, and well-organized experience.</li><li>

</p></li><li><p>Actively assist the Chief of Appeals and Legal Services with the management and oversight of the office Intern Program.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>OTHER SPECIFIC TASKS OR DUTIES
</b></p><ul><li><p>Represent the office in any court calendar proceedings.
</p></li><li><p>Handle questions from and advise police officers and less experienced prosecutors on cases and law.
</p></li><li><p>Respond to crime scenes to assist investigations as needed.
</p></li><li><p>Act as Duty DA to be on call for the office on a rotating basis.
</p></li><li><p>Provide trainings to police when requested by the DA.
</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned .<br>
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
</b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum of four years as a practicing attorney with a workload devoted exclusively or primarily to the practice of criminal law as either a prosecutor or defense counsel or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skill and ability to perform the job.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
</b></p><ul><li><p>This ADA who holds this position must be an expert in PA criminal prosecutions; must be able to provide effective training to newly appointed ADAS and law enforcement personnel on legal issues.
</p></li><li><p>Must be able to direct a major criminal investigation and possess the ability to communicate effectively with police, opposing counsel, judges, court-related personnel and victims.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES
</b></p><ul><li><p>License to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the rules and regulations of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania; If meeting the criteria for &quot;driver&quot; designation under the Lancaster County Transportation Policy, then compliance with &quot;Authorized Driver Guidelines&quot; under same Policy; PA State Criminal history check.
</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
</b></p><ul><li><p>Work is primarily sedentary in nature; no special demands are required.
</p></li><li><p>Must be able to work extended hours when in a trial and/or on a major investigation as needed.
