Responsible for mentoring junior Donor Center Technicians, able to drive training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance and is a Designated Trainer.</li><li>
Partners with Quality Assurance on overall center performance (favorable performance observations, CAPA implementations and continuous improvement initiatives).</li><li>
Responsible for troubleshooting machine alarms/alerts and perform QCs routinely (defined as daily/monthly) and periodic (defined as quarterly/annually) on equipment.</li><li>
Oversees the flow of donors, responsible for organizing lunch schedules, breaks, and overall schedule adherence.</li><li>
Assists with storage room organization and performs assigned tasks following the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.</li><li>
Ensures that donor meets eligibility criteria based on Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>
Performs donor vitals evaluation per Standard Operations Procedure.</li><li>
Performs finger stick for Microhematocrit and Total Protein determination.</li><li>
Register applicant donors per Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>
Sets up and prepares all equipment and disposable supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis procedures per standard operating procedures.</li><li>
Disconnects donor after plasmapheresis process is completed per standard operating procedure.</li><li>
Maintains proper ratio to ensure donor safety and quality of product.</li><li>
Operates the automated plasmapheresis machines including response and evaluation of all machine alarms and alerts, responds to donor adverse events, and documents exceptions.</li><li>
Prompt and sterile collection and storage of plasma product and samples per Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>
Handles tested and untested product, as well as product with unsuitable test results.</li><li>
Properly organize samples and product in a walk-in storage freezer per Standard Operating Procedures.</li><li>
Prepare product and samples for shipments, per Standard Operating Procedures and federal transportation regulations.</li><li>
Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and immediately inform appropriate personnel if equipment is not functioning properly. Record variance if applicable.</li><li>
Upon completion of initial training in your functional area, train as QA-Backup and/or NexSys Technician and perform related duties as required by business need.</li><li>

<li>Pay out grants through various payment methods (checks, wires, EFTs) following established procedures</li>
