Program Summary
Under the AFCAP V Program, KBR supports the U.S. Air Force by providing Engineering Support Services to the 378 ECES. These services ensure mission-critical Installation Engineering, Asset Management and Visibility, and Real Property support to the 378 AEW. In addition to Engineering Support Services at Prince Sultan Air Base, KBR also provides food services and other quality-of-life support to sustain base operations.
Job Summary
The Engineering Technician supports installation engineering, construction management, surveying, drafting, and geospatial data development for PSAB. This role provides technical support across planning, project execution, GIS, and documentation activities to ensure facilities and infrastructure data remains accurate, compliant, and mission-ready.
Roles and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Perform surveying, drafting, construction management, and project management support functions</li><li>
Develop and maintain technical drawings, maps, and geospatial datasets using AutoCAD and GIS software</li><li>
Support construction inspections, documentation, and quality assurance activities</li><li>
Assist with maintaining as-built drawings, facility records, and infrastructure documentation</li><li>
Support GeoBase, CIP, MDS, and MDL updates in compliance with SDSFIE and Air Force standards</li><li>
Conduct field surveys including topographic, boundary, and utility surveys</li><li>
Assist with airfield obstruction data updates and waiver documentation</li><li>
Support site preparation coordination, permits, and utility outage documentation</li><li>
Ensure engineering documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Government requirements</li></ul>
Basic Qualifications
<ul><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U. S. Driver's License.</li><li>
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.</li></ul><ul><li>
Minimum three (3) years combined experience in surveying, drafting, construction management, and project management</li><li>
At least one (1) year of recent experience using AutoCAD and GIS software</li><li>
Two (2) years of experience working with public or government organizations</li><li>
Proficiency in technical drawings, maps, and geospatial data</li><li>
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance</li><li>
Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Experience supporting Air Force Civil Engineering programs</li><li>
Familiarity with GeoBase, ArcGIS Pro, and SDSFIE standards</li><li>
Experience working in contingency or overseas environments.</li></ul>

What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>
Apply Knowledge of DoD Standards: Utilize a solid understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) drafting processes, documentation standards, and procedural requirements to support the development of technical drawings and installation packages in compliance with military specifications.</li><li>
Interpret and Apply Shore Installation Handbook (SIH): Reference and adhere to guidelines outlined in the Shore Installation Handbook to ensure accurate and compliant design layouts for telecommunications, IT, or infrastructure projects in shore-based facilities.</li><li>
Create and Edit Technical Diagrams Using MS Visio: Use Microsoft Visio to develop and maintain detailed diagrams, including network layouts, rack elevations, and cable routing schematics, ensuring clarity and precision in technical documentation.</li></ul>

Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
2 years with degree or 5 years with HS/GED of experience drafting/illustrating in the electronics field, to include: computerized drafting applications, digital imaging techniques, use of AutoCAD planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items.
</li></ul></li><li>Technical Expertise:<ul><li>
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) drafting standards, processes, and procedural requirements.</li><li>
Knowledge of the Shore Installation Handbook (SIH) and ability to apply its guidelines to ensure compliant shore-based facility designs.</li><li>
Proficient in creating and editing technical diagrams using Microsoft Visio, including network layouts and cable routing schematics.</li></ul></li><li>
Certifications:<ul><li>
