Job Summary

The Sr. Drilling Engineer is responsible for planning, engineering, and supporting the execution of the company's drilling operations. This position requires a sound knowledge of well drilling and construction techniques, and the ability to plan, document, and ensure the execution of a safe, efficient, and effective drilling operation.

Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li> Prepare and deliver properly engineered and practical drilling and well construction programs, procedures, and cost estimates.</li>
<li> Utilize continuous improvement practices in the well design process to reduce well cycle times &amp; cost</li>
<li> Lead the technical planning process for assigned wells, including well design, casing and cementing programs, and risk assessment.</li>
<li> Assist drill-site supervisors in the preparation of &ldquo;Plan Forward&rdquo; drilling procedures and guidelines to be reviewed with drilling crew and service crews in each phase of the operation.</li>
<li> Conduct offset data review of well histories and reconnaissance offset operations.</li>
<li> Evaluate, select, and procure well construction services and materials including tubulars, wellheads, cement, bits, directional, and drilling contractors.</li>
<li> Evaluate and select efficient, effective, and safe service contractors, and manage contractor performance.</li>
<li> Maintain close communications with drill-site supervisors and coordinate the preparation of quality daily drilling reports.</li>
<li> Maintain close communications with technical service representatives including cement, mud, and rental equipment.</li>
<li> Manage and maintain the WellView drilling database. Quality check field data input including casing tally, cement data, and wellbore schematics.</li>
<li> Ensure EH&amp;S policies are adhered to across drilling operations.</li>
<li> Ensure that drill-site contractors are deploying safe work practices and that contractor safety programs are appropriate and in active practice.</li>
<li> Embrace a multi-disciplinary team approach to all aspects of the work.</li>
<li> Collaborate with staff geologists, reservoir, land, production, field supervision, and EHS in planning and alignment with company goals and expectations.</li>
<li> Support State and Federal regulatory and environmental compliance and deliver professional testimony as required.</li>
<li> Participate in daily drilling operations conference calls.</li>
<li> Ensure all vendors comply with MSA requirements and execution.</li>
<li> Review and process invoices for accuracy, cost efficiency, and account coding.</li>
<li> Serve as a technical mentor to less experienced drilling engineers as the team grows.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications

Education:
<ul>
<li> Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required</li>
</ul>
Experience:
<ul>
<li> 10+ years of experience in drilling engineering or significant field exposure to drilling operations.
</li></ul>Skills &amp; Abilities:

<li> Proficiency in well planning software, drilling techniques and equipment (including horizontal/directional drilling and well control methods).</li>
<li> In-depth understanding of well control principles and drilling safety practices.</li>
<li> Proficiency with Aries, WellView, Petra, and MS Office Suite.</li>
<li> Strong project management and analytical skills.</li>

Compensation

The base compensation for this role in this location is targeted between $206,000 and $255,000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the range listed above.

Work Conditions
Location:

This position is in Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location.

Work Environment:

This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside an office space wherein employees may be provided a public workstation (cubicle) or private office. From time to time, the role will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.
Physical Demands:

In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
Position Type and Working Hours:

This is a full-time position. Core work hours are from 8:00 a.m.&ndash; 5:00 p.m. Monday &ndash; Thursday, and 8:00am &ndash; 12:00pm on Friday. Employees must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.

Travel:
Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.

The Drilling Assistant has primary responsibility for performing subsurface investigations for geotechnical and environmental purposes. A subsurface investigation can involve collecting soil, rock, groundwater samples, and logging the field data. These investigations take place over a wide variety of terrain, conditions, and weather. POSITION SCOPE

<div>The Assembler will perform tasks that are necessary for the production process. This position aids in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products.
