The Field Supervisor is a senior-level supervisory and entry-level management role responsible for overseeing and safely executing all Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) operations on the rig. This position serves as the primary liaison between the client, rig personnel, Weatherford crews, and the office, with full accountability for MPD equipment performance, operational execution, safety compliance, and the mentoring of junior personnel.
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Supervise, manage, and lead all MPD operations on the rig from a technical, operational, and safety perspective
</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact between the client, rig personnel, Weatherford crews, and office support teams
</li><li>Rig up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all MPD equipment, including RCD element changes and event identification
</li><li>Ensure MPD equipment is fully functional, green tagged, and inventoried prior to mobilization and during operations
</li><li>Manage crew shifts, rotations, logistics, and daily operational activities on location
</li><li>Conduct safety meetings, enforce QHSE procedures, and report incidents in accordance with company policy
</li><li>Train, mentor, and supervise MPD crew members and junior personnel
</li><li>Coordinate with third-party service providers such as mud logging, MWD, directional, and drilling services
</li><li>Maintain daily communication with client representatives and service companies on location
</li><li>Manage inventory, logistics, and job ticket documentation, ensuring timely submission to the office
</li><li>Oversee preventive maintenance activities and ensure completion of required checklists
</li><li>Document operations, incidents, and performance data in the Weatherford Performance Tracking System
</li><li>Support shop activities as required, including equipment preparation, green tagging, and shipping coordination
</li><li>Ensure compliance with Weatherford quality policies, operating procedures, and safety standards
</li><li>Complete required competency assessments and support personnel evaluations when qualified
</li><li>Perform additional MPD-related duties as assigned by management
