Your Role:
As a Waste Collection Driver Helper, you will team with a Driver to assist in the collection of waste and recyclable material.<ul><li>
Assist the Driver in the collection of waste and recyclable materials from residential, commercial, and industrial sites</li><li>
Ensure waste is properly sorted and loaded into the collection vehicle</li><li>
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements</li><li>
Communicate with the driver and other team members to ensure efficient route completion</li><li>
Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service</li><li>
Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle</li><li>

 All Driver&rsquo;s Trainees (&ldquo;Trainees&rdquo;) employed by Athens Services are responsible for all assigned waste collection. It is expected that every Trainee employee will conduct his/her self in a professional manner at all times and perform all duties as assigned in a safe manner. The primary duty of all Trainee personnel is to aid the efforts of the driver and be a second set of eyes on the road to prevent accidents and injuries.  The Trainee role is the first step towards a fulfilling career in commercial driving. This role is intended to last between 12-48 months, depending on performance, skills development, and interest. An employee must serve a minimum of 12 months and no more than a maximum of 48 months before graduating with a Trainee Graduation Certificate and promoting to a Scout role.  Job Description

 Assist in picking up and transporting waste safely, according to all federal, state and local rules and regulations.
 </li>

 Pick up specified waste from each customer site scheduled for the day.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that customers have packaged and prepared the waste according to all federal, state and local rules and regulations before transporting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicating any issues to Operations Manager, Route Supervisor or Dispatcher for resolution. This includes re-routes, adjustments in container sizes, training, etc.

 Ensure waste, supplies, and material handling equipment is secured prior to operating vehicle on public highway.

 Respects the property of all residential and commercial customers.

 The Delivery Driver Helper partners with a Delivery Driver and works as a team to provide exceptional customer service to all accounts with product delivery, rotation, and merchandising. Assists driver with delivery of product merchandising within large volume stores. While at an account the Driver Helper is responsible for stocking shelves, rotating product, setting up displays, cooler stocking, product rotation, storage room organization, and the efficient movement of product from storage to the sales floor.
