This position also helps handle photo acquisition, works with freelance graphic artists, and performs administrative tasks.Duties include:&middot; Edit and/or proofread manuscripts from freelance authors.&middot; Contact authors as needed to obtain clarification on content, matters of fact, etc.&middot; Research and write short articles and other forms of copy for special sections.&middot; Edit and/or proofread copy from both in-house staff and outside source documents, making stylistic, structural, and grammatical changes as needed.&middot; Research and locate images to accompany articles, as well as request permission to reproduce those images from individuals, organizations, etc.&middot; Complete basic page layouts in Adobe InDesign for select sections using existing templates. Make text changes and corrections within InDesign documents.&middot; Communicate with freelance graphic designers to assist in the creation of magazine layouts.
