 This is an entry-level position and the role&rsquo;s responsibilities are approximately 80% administrative, 20% editorial/creative. The candidate should be highly organized and have a proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Crucial strengths include excellent writing skills, problem solving, great organizational and time management skills, and fluidity of communication in all forms (in person, on the phone, over video, and via email).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in learning internal metadata and online trafficking and operating procedures, including, but not limited to, creating P/L&rsquo;s, Fact Sheets, cross-channel submissions, deal memos, acquisitions memos, spec information, ISBN, pub grid maintenance, T&amp;E expense reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for children&rsquo;s/YA books for all ages and a desire to learn more about the world of children&rsquo;s book publishing. They enjoy reading broadly and often.
 </li>
 <li>
 Candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong motivation, comfortable asking for help when needed, but be a self-starter able to work independently, manage deadlines, and eager to be an active participant on a collaborative team.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to meet deadlines and maintain schedules across several projects simultaneously.
 </li>
 <li>
 This is a position with in-office responsibilities, which will include but not be limited to executing mailings and participating in and contributing to in-person meetings. Additional in-office attendance may be required if the essential functions of the role require it.
