Minimum Qualifications

<li>Provides primary support for the clerkship director in matters relating to the clinical curriculum, and functions as their representative when needed.</li>
<li>Functions as liaison to students, faculty, residents, community faculty, site administrators, and school administration for a wide array of questions and tasks.</li>
<li>Provides comprehensive information to physicians regarding student assignments and rotation.</li>
<li>Manages daily operations of the clerkship, organizing and prioritizing necessary tasks, initiating changes, and resolving issues as they arise.</li>

<li>Provides prompt feedback to administration in reporting problems and successes at rotation sites based on student feedback and scheduling.</li>

BuildaBridge uniquely positions creative expression as trauma healing through art-making. We serve 600+ youth annually through partnerships with recreation centers, schools, and human service organizations in Philadelphia's highest-need neighborhoods. Our pedagogical approach, the BuildaBridge Safe Spaces Model (SSM) uses creative self-expression (music, movement, visual arts, writing) to build resilience, self-efficacy, and hope in youth who have experienced trauma (directly, vicariously, and generationally). Grounded in Hope Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and the Capabilities Approach, programming provides accessible alternatives to clinical mental health systems that often create barriers for low-income families. We function as &quot;pre-responders,&quot; intervening before youth enter systems that can traumitize and retraumatize. <p><b>Job Description</b></p><p>This remarkable individual will assist in running the Learning Center, including center operations, tutoring management, and parent communication.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b><br/>The key areas of responsibility include:</p><p>- Run the operations of the center</p><p>- Help train staff of tutors</p><p>- Speak with prospective parents to explain/promote the program</p><p>- Assess new students, create student workbooks</p><p>- Creation of individualized learning plans</p><p>- Teach children, using Mathnasium methods and processes</p><p>- Provide ongoing communication with parents</p><p>Training for any Mathnasium-specific teaching will be given for this fun and rewarding position.</p><p><b>Qualifications</b><br/>This individual will possess the following qualifications and requirements:</p><p>- Associate's degree, Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or working towards Bachelor's degree; preferably in Business or Math-related subjects</p><p>- Exceptional leadership, management, and operations experience</p><p>- Passion for working with kids, and experience working both with kids and communicating effectively with parents</p><p>- Excellent communication skills, effective time management skills, and driven and detail-oriented</p><p>- Strong delegating and performance management skills</p><p>- Superb organizational skills, able to multi-task effective and work towards deadlines</p><p>- Possess exemplary character and have a strong leadership presence</p><p>- A passion for math is ideal, and strong math skills are essential. Proficient through SAT 1 level Math (Algebra 1, High School Geometry, and beginning Algebra 2) - paid training will be provided. Must pass a background check.</p><p>Previous Mathnasium experience is desirable, but not necessary. We are looking for the very best talent for a leadership path in our dynamic and growing organization. Current University students will be considered. The hours are flexible and we can usually work around school or other job schedules.</p><p><b>Additional Information</b></p><p>Scheduling is flexible, but you'd need to be available to work during times when the center is open for instruction (Monday - Thursday 1-8pm &amp; Saturday 10am-2pm)</p><p>Looking for someone who is available to work 30 hours per week.
