The job of Academic Support Technician is to provide students with instructional assistance under the guidance of a classroom teacher, instructional coach or school lead interventionist. The school level administration will designate the teacher, instructional coach, or lead interventionist as the overseer of the position. This Academic Support Position will include working in classroom, small group settings or working alongside the school interventionist to provide literacy or math instruction based on student need. The position may include working with various levels of proficiency to allow the classroom teacher to work with students needing more specialized instruction. The position may include working with some small groups of students needing assistance or a small group of students that work more independently needing supervision or limited feedback. Strong skills in math, reading, or both</li><li>Reliable availability (minimum 3 hours/week)</li><li>Comfortable using Zoom and basic technology</li><li>Strong communication and organization skills</li><li>Reliable transportation for in-person roles</li><li>Experience tutoring or working with students preferred</li></ul>
