About the role

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will work safely to maintain, diagnose, and repair various types of power plant equipment, this includes maintenance related to: boilers and its associated electrical and control equipment, repair and operation of field controllers, instrumentation, motor control centers and other power plant electrical equipment ranging from 120V to 13.8kv, and AC switchgear.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Position Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>
Perform maintenance and testing of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.</li><li>
Perform maintenance of higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine driven generators.</li><li>
Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste boilers and its associated equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, fans, motors, conveyors &amp; refuse cranes.</li><li>
Perform electrical maintenance work related to energy from waste air pollution control systems.</li><li>
Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to the Continuous Emissions Motoring System (CEMS) as well as all facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation, which includes but is not limited to, transmitter flow devices, level controls, temperature measurement, and flue gas analysis equipment.</li><li>
Trouble shoot, assess, inspect, and adjust, and make repairs, as needed to the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and historian devices.</li><li>
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, which include but are not limited to, routine calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.</li><li>
Operate various calibration equipment and perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance and repair work as assigned using proper Reworld safety practices.</li><li>
Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation problems and complete all maintenance work records.</li><li>
Actively participate in plant shutdown work including teardown inspection of electrical plant equipment.</li><li>
Maintain work area and tools in clean and orderly manner as well as performing plant and shop housekeeping chores.</li><li>
Complete Reworld safety, compliance, and other required training / certification within the assigned timelines.</li><li>

The Electrical &amp; Instrumentation (E&amp;I) Designer III supports Strike&rsquo;s E&amp;I Services group by executing electrical and instrumentation design activities across a wide range of energy infrastructure projects. This role contributes to the development of detailed design packages for facilities such as pump stations, meter stations, compressor stations, terminals, and pipeline systems. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and CADworx software. Experience with 3D Navisworks software.</li><li>

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li><li>

<ul><li>Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems used in production operations</li><li>
Evaluate electrical systems and instruments to develop repair and maintenance plans</li><li>
Document issues, corrective actions, and completed work in accordance with company standards</li><li>
Plan, update, and oversee assigned activities while ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements</li><li>
Support collaboration between operations, engineering, and project teams</li><li>
Review and provide input on control specifications and work practices</li><li>
Maintain responsibility and accountability for electrical and control systems per the Work Management Manual</li><li>
Apply and follow work permits through the Permit to Work System (PTWS)</li><li>
Ensure quality and timely completion of work scheduled through the Maintenance Program</li><li>
Provide technical support to other technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting activities</li><li>
Support work prioritization efforts to maximize operational effectiveness</li><li>
Generate and manage Management of Change (MOC) requests related to electrical and control equipment and installations, including follow-up inspections per OIMS Element 3</li><li>
Construct, monitor, and inspect new installations, recommending upgrades when necessary</li><li>
Develop and maintain open communication regarding electrical and control issues, safe work practices, training, and materials</li><li>
Attend and lead technical meetings as needed to communicate updates on specifications, codes, procedures, and technology</li><li>
Act as a stand-in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead position when required</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate&rsquo;s degree preferred; technical school coursework strongly valued</li><li>
Experience maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation &amp; controls in oil and gas processing plants or offshore production facilities.</li><li>
Familiarity with oil and gas regulatory requirements</li><li>
Large horsepower compression automation experience highly preferred.</li><li>
Valve repair and troubleshooting experience highly preferred.</li><li>
Man Lift Certifications required.</li><li>
Working knowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures</li><li>
Ability to meet company safety, administrative, and technical training requirements</li><li>
Understanding of Operations Integrity Critical Competencies</li><li>
Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test (UA), MVR Check, agility, and Fit for Duty.</li></ul></div>
