<div><p><b>Piper Companies</b> is looking for a <b>Senior Electrical Engineer</b> to join a cutting-edge energy technology team located <b>onsite in Houston, TX.</b> The ideal Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, integration, and commissioning of high-voltage electrical systems for a novel power generation platform.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineer:</b></p><ul><li>
Lead the design of high-voltage electrical systems including one-line diagrams, switchgear, transformers, and large industrial motors (138kV+).</li><li>
Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate electrical systems into a flexible, clean baseload power generation platform.</li><li>
Be hands-on during commissioning phases, troubleshooting and optimizing high-voltage systems.</li><li>
Support grid interconnect studies and governor model development for transmission-level voltages (Ex: 156kV).</li></ul><p><b>
Qualifications for the Senior Electrical Engineer:</b></p><ul><li>
7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in high-voltage power systems or industrial environments.</li><li>
Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance.</li><li>
Proficiency in CAD tools for electrical schematics and modeling software such as ETAP or SKM PowerTools.</li><li>
Experience with high-power motors, VFDs, transformers, and control systems.</li><li>
Strong field experience in commissioning and troubleshooting electrical systems.</li><li>
Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, NERC, and other relevant standards.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; Master&rsquo;s preferred.</li></ul><p><b>
Compensation/Benefits for the Senior Electrical Engineer:</b></p><ul><li>
Salary Range: $170,000 &ndash; $190,000 annually plus stock and bonus depending on experience.</li><li>
