About the Role:
The Electrical Designer is responsible for preparing all necessary electrical drawings and performing a wide variety of activities requiring the application of more complex drafting principles and related technical knowledge.
This position requires an outstanding working knowledge of CAD technology, drafting skills, and an understanding of electrical principles.
Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Preparation of complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches, and drawings relating to required specifications, as well as from customer engineering interpretation to the general order (CAD).</li>
<li>Ability to learn and utilize UL 508A, UL 891, UL 1558, and other required UL design standards.</li>
<li>Work with the project management and engineering team concerning any questions, comments, or changes during the design or manufacturing process.</li>
<li>Creating and maintaining an AutoCAD Electrical component library.</li>
<li>Creating standard drawing sets of commonly used electrical components applicable in different designs.</li>
<li>Develop panel layouts derived from bills of material to ensure correct equipment spacing and functionality as required.</li>
<li>Work with the purchasing and engineering departments to develop bills of material.</li>
<li>Work with the Quality department to ensure all drawings meet the required specifications.</li>
<li>Work directly with the manufacturing team to implement changes, clarify drawings, or anything else needed during the manufacturing process.</li>
<li>Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience preparing complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as from customers&rsquo; engineering interpretation.</li>
