The role involves translating complex electrical, communication, and telemetry system designs into accurate technical drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and supporting efficient implementation and long-term operation of remote monitoring and control systems.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p>As an Electrical, Communication Network, and Telemetry CAD Draftsman, you will be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including:</p><ul><li><b>Telemetry System Drafting:</b> Preparing detailed schematics and layouts for RTUs, PLCs, data loggers, sensors, and instrumentation used in telemetry systems.</li><li><b>Electrical Design for Remote Sites:</b> Developing accurate electrical schematics, power distribution diagrams (including solar and battery backup systems), and control panel layouts for remote and unmanned telemetry stations.</li><li><b>Communication Network Layouts:</b> Creating detailed communication network drawings for telemetry data transmission, including:</li><li>Design of communication equipment cubicles</li><li>Network infrastructure layouts, rack elevations, and connectivity diagrams for SCADA and control rooms</li><li><b>Interpreting Engineering Designs:</b> Working closely with telemetry engineers, network architects, and system integrators to understand design requirements and translate specifications into precise technical drawings.</li><li><b>Ensuring Compliance:</b> Ensuring all drawings comply with applicable electrical codes (IEC, NEC, NEMA), communication standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI), industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA), and internal drafting standards.</li><li><b>Maintaining Documentation:</b> Managing and maintaining an organized, up-to-date repository of drawings, revisions, and complete project documentation.</li><li><b>Performing Revisions:</b> Updating drawings based on red-line markups, design changes, and as-built information, incorporating field feedback accurately and efficiently.</li><li><b>Bill of Materials (BOM):</b> Supporting the preparation and verification of BOMs for electrical, communication, and telemetry components.</li><li><b>Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:</b> Coordinating effectively with other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth integration of telemetry designs within overall project requirements.</li><li><b>Quality Assurance:</b> Conducting self-checks and peer reviews to ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with drafting standards and project specifications.</li><li><b>Problem Solving:</b> Identifying and resolving drawing discrepancies and design issues in collaboration with engineers and technical specialists.</li><li><b>Continuous Improvement:</b> Keeping up to date with advancements in CAD tools, drafting methodologies, and industry best practices related to electrical, communication, and telemetry systems.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, Telecommunications, Industrial Automation, or a related field.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics &amp; Communication Engineering is considered an advantage.</li></ul><p><b>Experience</b></p><ul><li>3&ndash;5 years of experience as a CAD Draftsman with strong exposure to electrical, communication network, and telemetry systems.</li><li>Hands-on experience in drafting and design for:</li><li>SCADA/DCS systems, RTUs, PLCs, and industrial instrumentation</li><li>Remote data acquisition and control systems</li><li>Wireless communication systems (radio, cellular, satellite)</li><li>Power solutions for remote sites (48VDC systems, UPS)</li><li>Industry experience in utilities, oil &amp; gas, environmental monitoring, smart cities, or transportation is highly preferred.</li></ul><p><b>Technical Skills</b></p><ul><li><b>CAD Expertise:</b> Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools.</li><li><b>Network &amp; Telemetry Tools:</b> Experience with drafting network diagrams using AutoCAD, Visio, or specialized software; familiarity with SCADA/HMI graphical layouts is a plus.</li><li><b>Electrical Knowledge:</b> Strong understanding of electrical circuits, symbols, wiring practices, power distribution, and low-voltage control systems.</li><li><b>Communication Networks:</b> Solid knowledge of network topologies, structured cabling (Cat 5e/6/6A, fiber optics), IP networking fundamentals, and wireless communication technologies (UHF/VHF, 4G/5G, satellite).</li><li><b>Telemetry &amp;
