RIPHI also hosts a Ryan White HIV treatment and care program at Open Door Health as well as large HIV prevention programs.</p><p>In addition, RIPHI founded several innovative public health programs focused on enhancing food and nutrition security.</p><p>RIPHI operates Food on the Move, one of the largest mobile produce programs in the country. RIPHI leads Nourish Rhode Island, a coalition advocating for SNAP incentives in grocery stores to promote healthy eating among SNAP recipients. SNAP incentives double the value of the dollar when people buy fresh produce. That campaign led to a statewide program for 140,000 SNAP recipients in Rhode Island; this program doubles the value of the dollar when SNAP recipients buy fresh produce.</p><p>In 2024, RIPHI and Open Door Health began a statewide program to integrate primary care with behavioral health services. RIPHI uses population health data in all its research, clinical and charitable service programs. RIPHI recently adopted a 5-year strategic plan that includes opening and growing both a new research center and a new communications center to support RIPHI&rsquo;s work to advance population health. In the last year, RIPHI has secured over $15 million in grant funding and is looking forward to continuing growing our programs and research portfolio in alignment with RIPHI&rsquo;s strategic plan.</p><p>During the last several years, RIPHI led several successful advocacy campaigns culminating in legislative victories, legislative appropriations, and statewide policy changes. <p>The EKG Technician acquires EKG's, application of Holter monitors and operation of the EKG management system including the editing process. Follows infection control guidelines. Performs all office duties including answering the phone, completing departmental paperwork, filing, test resulting and conducting front office duties.  Within 90 days of hire, the EKG tech must show competency in the following areas: performing advanced testing and patient monitoring procedures to include preparing patients for event monitoring, Holter monitoring, mobile telemetry monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. The EKG tech will assist in routine, echo, and nuclear stress tests, monitoring the patient for blood pressure and equipment function during stress testing as well as assisting the physician during the stress test procedure. The EKG tech will have a thorough knowledge of the stress computer system as well as advanced EPIPHANY applications. The tech will have the ability to perform EPIPHANY troubleshooting procedures and to act as charge in the absence of the Lead Tech or the Director. <div><p>The EKG Tech performs electrocardiograms to measure the electrical activity of the heart to assist in the diagnosis of heart ailments. The EKG Tech edits and forwards final test results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation. Relies on established guidelines to accomplish tasks. Works under close supervision.</p></div>

</b></p><div><ul><li>Technical Tasks: This will have been satisfactorily performed when;
<ul><li>Procedures are clearly explained to patients/families while maintaining patient privacy at all times as evidenced by lack of complaints.
</li><li>Electrocardiograms are edited through EKG computer paying attention to detail and seeking help if needed at all times.
</li><li>Test results and edited EKGs are accurately and routinely posted on patient chart immediately upon completion of editing and transcription.
</li><li>Assistance is provided to physicians and nurses in stress lab in patient prep and computer operations as requested.
</li><li>Equipment is cleaned and maintained according to prescribed guidelines on every shift.
</li><li>Procedures are explained to the patient and informed consent secured as indicated/necessary at all times.
</li><li>Set up and prep halter monitor patients.
</li><li>The employee functions independently in the following positions: A) ECG performance; B) Dictation, editing, filing and charting of Cardiology reports and EKGs.
