Job Description: 
 
Assists physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular, electrophysiology or peripheral vascular procedures, including circulating, scrubbing, monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring/recording. Follows department policies to maintain a safe, efficient environment while caring for the patient. 
 
Principle Responsibilities<ul><li>
Effectively operates laboratory equipment<ul><li>
Prepares and operates equipment within department, manufacturer and federal guidelines.</li><li>
Performs quality control and basic troubleshooting as needed.</li><li>
Promptly reports all equipment problems to appropriate source.</li></ul></li><li>
Performs scrub role activities<ul><li>
Ensures a safe and sterile environment for the patient.</li><li>
Practices aseptic technique, maintains sterile field and reports/corrects any breaks in sterile technique.</li><li>
Prepares the equipment and competently assists the physician during the procedure.</li><li>
Understands the anatomy and physiology of the conduction system, and associated intra cardiac electrocardiographic signals.</li></ul></li><li>
Assists physicians in monitoring/circulator role<ul><li>
Detects and responds to changing patient conditions, observing EKG, blood pressure, and other electrograms.</li><li>
Performs complete diagnostic and provocative pacing protocols under the direction of the physician.</li><li>
Differentiates basic and complex arrhythmias and assists in mapping.</li><li>
Records, compiles and enters patient data accurately into electronic medical record and image retrieval system.</li></ul></li><li>
Ensures safe environment for patients and staff<ul><li>
Protects self and others from injury by using equipment per manufacturer and department guidelines.</li><li>
Uses transfer lifts, transport equipment and body mechanics to protect from injury.</li><li>
Practices good habits of radiation safety.</li></ul></li><li>

Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of accredited Cardiovascular Technology program; or Bachelor's degree in life, physical science, or health care related field; or EMT certification</li></ul>

Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech&rsquo;s demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients served. They are able to scrub and assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies. Additionally, they are responsible for recording and monitoring these cases, as well as understanding hemodynamic measurements and valve area readings.
What You Will Do in This Role<ul><li>
Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing and sterile field setup.</li><li>
Administer contrast media and medications according to age- and weight-specific guidelines and within regulatory scope.</li><li>
Start and maintain IV access; monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, reporting any abnormalities.</li><li>
Prepare patients by reviewing their medical history, positioning them, and prepping procedure sites.</li><li>
Operate and maintain imaging and lab equipment; report malfunctions and follow lock/tag-out procedures when necessary.</li><li>
Accurately document procedures in Meditech and verify imaging in PACS.</li><li>
Interpret and report test results, recognizing and correcting artifacts or recording errors.</li><li>
Handle and dispose of radioactive waste in compliance with safety regulations.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment.</li><li>
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.</li></ul>
What Qualifications You Will Need Required:
One of the following:<ul><li>
A current license or certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) from CCI.</li><li>
OR A current license or certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist [RT(R)] from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and ARRT.</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
Experience in special procedures, thrombectomy, and neuro.</li><li>
Minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab or EP Lab.</li></ul>
Other Requirements:<ul><li>
BLS certification is required, and ACLS training must be completed within six months of hire.</li><li>

The Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) position is a 6-9 month training position for those with little to no electrophysiology (EP) experience. Upon successful graduation from the program, the ACAS will be promoted to a Clinical Account Specialist (CAS). As a CAS the candidate will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP lab staff on the effective use of BWI&rsquo;s systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO&reg; System, associated software modules and RF generator) during case procedures within an assigned geography. The expectation that is that this work leads to meeting and/or exceeding business goals.
Position Components
Under (e.g. limited supervision, general direction, etc.) and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and corporate Johnson &amp; Johnson, procedures and guidelines, the ACAS will:
<ul><li>Attend all portions of the ACAS fellowship training program without exception.
</li><li>Engage in dialogue with multiple internal and external business partners and stakeholders, and formulate solutions based on dialogue and input gained during training.
</li><li>Understand the dynamics of an EP lab, including, but not limited to physicians, nurses and technicians, clinical and hospital administrators and staff.
</li><li>Prioritize and appropriately respond to requests in a high-stress environment.

The Associate Clinical Account Specialist (ACAS) position is a 6-9 month training position for those with little to no electrophysiology (EP) experience. Upon successful graduation from the program, the ACAS will be promoted to a Clinical Account Specialist (CAS). As a CAS the candidate will provide expert clinical product and technical assistance and training to physicians and EP lab staff on the effective use of BWI&rsquo;s systems and catheter equipment (e.g., The CARTO&reg; System, associated software modules and RF generator) during case procedures within an assigned geography. The expectation that is that this work leads to meeting and/or exceeding business goals.
Position Components
Under (e.g. limited supervision, general direction, etc.) and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and corporate Johnson &amp; Johnson, procedures and guidelines, the ACAS will:
<ul><li>Attend all portions of the ACAS fellowship training program without exception.
</li><li>Engage in dialogue with multiple internal and external business partners and stakeholders, and formulate solutions based on dialogue and input gained during training.
</li><li>Understand the dynamics of an EP lab, including, but not limited to physicians, nurses and technicians, clinical and hospital administrators and staff.
</li><li>Prioritize and appropriately respond to requests in a high-stress environment.
</li><li>Maintain composure and problem-solving focus during stressful interactions.
</li><li>Respond daily to requests by email and voicemail.
</li><li>Drive collaboration and maintain consistent, open lines of communication across the assigned responsibilities with the local team/Pod (i.e. TM and other CAS), as well as the support team (i.e. field trainers, site trainers, RBD) and other internal and external partners
</li><li>Responsible for following all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition.
</li><li>Responsible for adhering to company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
</li></ul>Qualifications:
<ul><li>A minimum of Bachelor&rsquo;s degree is required by the hire date
</li><li>OR minimum of 2 years of related professional experience (engineering, or procedural hospital setting) is required with an Associate&rsquo;s degree
</li><li>OR a minimum of 1 year of EP mapping experience with an Associate&rsquo;s degree is required
</li><li>OR Graduate from an accredited academic program OR Industry prep school with a focus on EP with Bachelor&rsquo;s degree is required
</li><li>OR exiting a branch of the US military with an Associate&rsquo;s degree is required

</li><li>Will be required to maintain advanced clinical knowledge of cardiac ablation and cardiac imaging, technical knowledge of EP technology, advancements, and the business landscape.
</li><li>Advance-level computer skills, and the ability to multitask without the direct oversight of manager required
</li><li>The ACAS will be hired for a specific company sales area and relocation to that pre-identified sales area after completion of the ACAS Training Program is required.

Job Summary:</h3>
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and pacemaker implantations. This role involves operating imaging equipment, monitoring patients&rsquo; vital signs, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedures.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>
Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab for procedures, including setting up sterile fields and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functional.</li><li>
Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures by handling and operating specialized imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, X-ray, intravascular ultrasound).</li><li>
Monitor and record patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures.</li><li>
Administer contrast media under physician supervision and observe patient reactions.</li><li>
Ensure proper radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient data in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.</li><li>

Qualifications:</h3>

Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program or Radiologic Technology program.</li></ul>
Licensure/Certification:<ul><li>
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification preferred or required depending on state/hospital.</li><li>
BLS and ACLS certification required.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Minimum 1&ndash;2 years of experience in a cath lab, interventional radiology, or similar clinical setting preferred.</li><li>
