Job Summary Elevator service technicians are primarily responsible for all preventative maintenance and repair work on elevators. Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Read blueprints to determine the equipment needed for installation or repair</li><li>Install or repair elevator doors, cables, motors, and control systems</li><li>Locate malfunctions in brakes, motors, switches, and control systems</li><li>Test newly installed equipment to ensure that it meets specifications</li><li>Keep service records of all maintenance and repair tasks</li><li>Examine, maintain, and repair elevators as well as other conveyance types.</li><li>Determine the need for and perform major overhaul or replacement of defective equipment.</li><li>Perform proper timekeeping and accounting of materials and expenses for assigned projects.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints.</li><li>Follow appropriate maintenance and service procedures.</li><li>Meet and assist with third-party municipal inspections.</li></ul>Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications Looking for graduates with any electrical field background and freshers are most welcome.  Pay rate: $45.46 - $54.12 - upon meeting the progression step requirements.  This position will inspect, repair, maintain, modify, and fabricate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment, including electrical and electronic circuitry of passenger and freight elevator systems and powered lifts; performs safety tests in accordance with the State of Michigan regulations.
 
 
 
 Job Responsibilities Are As Follows
 
 
 
 35% - Inspect and maintain hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment, including electrical and electronic circuitry of passenger and freight elevator systems and power lifts.
 
 
 35% - Service, repair and fabrication of mechanical and electrical on passenger, freight, and power lift elevator systems.
 
 
 10% - Perform safety tests in accordance with State of Michigan regulations.
 
 
 10% - Project management and customer contact.
 
 
 10% - Correspondence through email, training, meetings and professional development.

 Minimum Requirements
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Completion of high school education or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Successful completion of an applicable trade-specific Trades Helper program, or completion of an approved apprenticeship program, or an associate degree, or equivalent education/experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Seven and one-half years of experience in the trade that includes seven and one-half years of experience in the commercial elevator installation and maintenance trade and demonstrated ability to independently perform the duties and responsibilities of the classification, or equivalent experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possession of a valid State of Michigan Class A or B Elevator License.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possess and maintain Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) certification.
 </li>
 <li>
 Expert knowledge of methods, materials, tools, equipment, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the trade.
 </li>
 <li>
 Expert knowledge of applicable electrical codes, rules, and regulations (local, state, and federal).
 </li>
 <li>
 Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must furnish own hand tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Frequent lifting of 26 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of over 75 pounds.

Job Summary

The Service Manager is responsible for the daily activities of maintenance and repair operations. The Manager will assist in estimating jobs, allocating manpower, and improving the profitability of maintenance and repair jobs.

Responsibilities and Duties
<ul>
<li>Supervises Service Technicians' direction and training, and communicates company policies, procedures, and objectives</li>
<li>Administers company safety program, which includes performing safety audits, when necessary, and stressing the importance of safety to all employees</li>
<li>Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure route work is completed efficiently and cost effectively</li>
<li>Identifies issues that could potentially affect the overall reliability of the customer&rsquo;s equipment</li>
<li>Uses company financial reporting to review route management and callbacks</li>
<li>Makes necessary changes to improve profitability</li>

Qualifications and Skills
