The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for executing employee relations and payroll-related activities assigned by the Senior Manager &ndash; Compensation &amp; Employee Relations. The role supports the consistent application of internal policies, conduct standards, payroll controls, and governance frameworks, ensuring accurate documentation, confidentiality, and operational discipline across employee relations and payroll interfaces. Operating as a senior individual contributor, the role manages ER cases, supports investigations, coordinates payroll inputs (including GPSSA), and contributes to reporting, audits, and digital process improvements. 

Strategic Responsibilities
<ul><li>Support the execution of the organization&rsquo;s Employee Relations framework, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Ensure consistent and fair application of ER processes across all departments.</li><li>Contribute ER data, case insights, and trend analysis to support management reporting and governance reviews.</li><li>Support digitalization, automation, and AI-enabled enhancements within employee relations processes.</li></ul> 
Core Responsibilities
1. Employee Relations<ul><li>Execute assigned employee relations cases, including grievances, conduct issues, investigations, and performance-related matters.</li><li>Collect information, conduct interviews, prepare case documentation, and draft summaries for review and approval.</li><li>Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready ER records in line with internal governance standards.</li><li>Apply ER policies consistently and support updates and version control as directed.</li></ul>
 2. Payroll &amp; GPSSA Support<ul><li>Support payroll operations by validating ER-related payroll inputs such as disciplinary actions, unpaid leave, deductions, recoveries, and final settlements.</li><li>Coordinate GPSSA-related employee data updates, changes, and documentation in collaboration with Payroll and HR Operations.</li><li>Support reconciliation of payroll exceptions arising from ER actions or employee status changes.</li><li>Ensure payroll-related documentation linked to ER cases is complete, accurate, and properly approved.</li></ul>
 3. Reporting &amp; Governance<ul><li>Maintain ER and payroll trackers, logs, and case records.</li><li>Prepare periodic reports on ER cases, trends, and payroll-related ER impacts.</li><li>Support internal audits, governance reviews, and management reporting through accurate documentation and timely responses.</li></ul>
 4. Digital &amp; Systems Support<ul><li>Use HRIS, payroll systems, and ER case management tools to execute assigned activities.</li><li>Support HR chatbot content and digital workflows related to ER and payroll processes.</li><li>Participate in automation and system enhancement initiatives affecting ER and payroll interfaces.</li></ul> 
Requirements 
 
Education &amp; Qualifications 
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>Master&rsquo;s degree and/or professional certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, WorldatWork/CCP, Certified Compensation &amp; Benefits Professional) preferred.</li></ul>
Experience Requirements<ul><li>7&ndash;10 years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure to employee relations case handling and investigations.</li><li>Experience in an investment organization, financial institution, sovereign-linked entity, or other high-governance environment preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to independently execute complex ER cases under management direction.</li><li>Experience working with HR systems, digital workflows, and reporting tools.</li></ul>

The Senior Employee Relations Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters and oversees the full employee relations lifecycle. This role partners closely with management and employees to address a broad range of workforce issues, including employee relations, coaching, development, and engagement. In addition, the Senior Specialist supports the Employee Relations Manager in the administration and consistent application of policies, programs, and procedures aligned with best‑practice frameworks that promote a positive and productive work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>

Position Summary 
The Employee Relations (ER) Consultant will, under general supervision, provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, performance counseling, attendance counseling, policy violation. This position will conduct-related cases including disciplinary recommendations and investigate harassment claims. 
 
Essential Functions 
<ul><li>Review, consult and respond to performance management concerns including counseling managers and supervisors on effectively addressing performance, conduct and/or attendance issues through coaching and progressive discipline.</li><li>Review and provide recommendations to managers/supervisors regarding disciplinary documentation.</li><li>Lead internal investigations including general complaints, formal grievances and ethics line violations and completing reports documenting findings and closing out the investigation.</li><li>Serve as point of contact for external issues (ex. respond to the EEOC or other regulatory agencies).</li><li>Serves as the point of contact for employees and supervisors regarding questions relating to County disciplinary processes.</li><li>Train supervisors and staff in employee relations functions, unemployment, mediation, the ADA, and workplace modification requests.</li><li>Process unemployment claims and represent the County at unemployment hearings.</li><li>Track County dismissal appeal hearings.</li><li>Understand of leave of absence programs and disability management issues.</li><li>Supports County objectives, departmental initiatives and employee relations activities.</li><li>Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.</li><li>Enforcing relevant employment and labor laws and regulations.</li><li>Conduct Employee Relations Training sessions.</li></ul>
