What You'll Do</b></div>

<div></div><div>The YWCA Community Jobs program works in partnership with DSHS to provide paid work experience to help people on TANF transition from state assistance to full-time employment. The Employment Specialist works with parents on TANF referred by DSHS to acquire workplace readiness skills, remove barriers to employment, obtain needed training and support services, and find unsubsidized employment that will enable self-sufficiency within a 6-9 month timeframe.</div>

<div>The Employment Specialist also works closely with non-profit, government and tribal worksites, and worksite supervisors to ensure a valuable subsidized work experience for each participant. In addition, the Employment Specialist maintains extensive records of clients&rsquo; progress and reports on achievement of program outcomes using the E-Jas operating system and must following strict timelines and meet report deadlines. Additional services provided by the Employment Specialist will include working with for-profit employers to develop jobs for participants.</div>

<li>Maintain regular contact with Interns and Worksite supervisors to get feedback on Intern performance, resolve problems, and provide additional training as needed</li>

<li>Work with Program Director to develop and use performance evaluations and feedback mechanisms to ensure Internship outcomes are met and Worksites are satisfied with services</li>
<li>Actively engages in agency-wide Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI), and strives for racially equitable outcomes; takes responsibility for creating and maintaining a safe and welcoming community by making room for people of color, trans and gender-non-conforming folks, and other populations who routinely encounter systemic oppressions</li>
<li>Adhere to all Volunteer Services protocols relative to volunteer usage, recognition, and monitoring</li>
<li>Attend required safety training and meetings; follow all safety and health guidelines, standards, practices, policies, and procedures; and actively participate in the agency&rsquo;s Emergency Preparedness program and activities</li>

<li>Accompany clients to job-related search activities, events, and job interviews.</li>
<li>Assist in orienting clients with the host employer&rsquo;s policies, standard operating procedures, and perform time and motion studies (or task analysis).</li>

This position is responsible for administering employee leaves and employment agreements in accordance with district policies and federal and state regulations, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely communication, and responsive support to staff. Key responsibilities include managing FMLA and Maine Paid Family Medical Leave; administering workers' compensation and COBRA compliance; supporting MainePERS retirement enrollment; coordinating compliance training and professional development reimbursements; maintaining documentation of staff eligibility to transport students; and supporting employee engagement initiatives including the Best Places to Work survey. </li><li>Prepare inmate furloughs, transfers, conditional release and parole lists. Answers telephone inquiries from Probation and Parole Offices for information regarding inmate's sentences and release dates for the Pre-Sentence Investigation.
</li><li>Respond to Requests for Information According to Open Records Statutes.
</li><li>Implement all functions associated with receiving and discharging inmates to and from the Department of Corrections.

Provide support to customers funded by Hamilton County Job and Family Services Ohio Work First participants as they work in the community and maintain communication between customer, employer, funding agency and other community support personnel. Coach and support individuals with on competitive job sites and/or assessment sites by assist as needed with job tasks and skills. Maintain contact with employer/manager while in coaching to evaluate progress.

<b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b></div>
<ul><li>Serves as liaison for participants with employer, case managers, funding agency and others by facilitating communication. Identifies and assists employers and participants with implementing any needed job modification.</li>
<li>Provides transportation by driving participants to and from work sites for orientations, training and other activities, as needed.</li>
<li>Attends job development/ job match meetings, and staffing&rsquo; /follow along meetings with referral sources, participants and the customer support team to review progress of the participants.
</li><li>Updates customer case files by completing and filing documents and monthly reports.
</li><li>Communicates regularly with referral sources regarding customer progress and progress of potential customers.</li>
<li>Keeps accurate records by completing and maintaining required documentation including case notes, monthly reports, intake forms, activity logs, mileage reports and discharge summaries. Write progress reports for each participant on follow along case load. Write daily case notes and monthly reports on participants in job coaching.
</li><li>Complete daily/weekly paperwork for follow along and enter data into the Community Link database daily. Complete a Customer Attendance Report monthly on caseload.</li>
<li>Attend required training for updates and program changes through Hamilton County Job &amp; Family Services, Community Link and/or meetings required by supervisor/ agency.
</li><li>Maintain knowledge and skills by attending meetings, seminars and works shops as required by supervisor or agency.</li>
<li>Maintains confidentiality of participant&rsquo;s files and other sensitive subject matter.
