POSITION SUMMARY:</b><br>

As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC. Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, our Patient Care Technicians provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient-centered care model and uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to our patients and their families. You will also work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to provide a variety of support services to meet patient, family, and staff needs.</p><p></p><p><b>
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p></p><ul>

Perform a variety of appropriately delegated patient care interventions for patients in the Critical Care department and their families.</p></li>

Nursing responsibilities include administration of blood products, high-risk IV medications, immunosuppressant&rsquo;s, and teaching related to caring for your graft, drains, and post-transplant lifestyle changes. PCT responsibilities includes ADL care, and clinical technology interventions, such as EKGs, bladder scanner, glucose checks, and documentation in the electronic medical record.</p>

As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at BMC.
