Position Description:
The Culinary Enrichment Teacher 1 collaborates with other Teachers to implement and manage culinary-based educational enrichment programs and cooking classes. This role involves supporting instructional activities, preparing materials, and providing individualized attention to students to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment centered around cooking and culinary arts.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Review lesson plans in advance on a weekly basis.</li><li>
Watch recorded video trainings.</li><li>
Check-in with Enrichments Manager or supervisors as needed for questions and classroom support.</li><li>
Organize lessons by setting out materials, prepping food portions, and following the Lead Teacher's guidance for lesson execution.</li><li>
Participate in teacher training sessions before the start of the semester.</li><li>
Distribute any applicable materials or handouts to students before the class concludes.</li><li>
Provide feedback in the designated channel within 48 hours after each class.</li><li>
Notify Enrichment Manager and/or supervisors of any in-class incidents as soon as possible utilizing incident reports.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Previous experience working with children</li><li>
Must pass a background check, including sex offender search, criminal search and national watchlist search.</li><li>
TB Immunization required</li><li>
Additional background checks and immunization requirements may vary depending on the school.</li></ul>

WHAT YOU&rsquo;LL DO 
As an Enrichment Teacher (Dance, Music, or Robotics) for upper schools, you will lead students towards content mastery. You will be expected to manage the following daily:<ul><li>
Deliver lessons using a range of culturally responsive pedagogical strategies to support all students in reaching high-levels of academic and social-emotional growth and achievement</li><li>
Create thoughtful and engaging unit and lesson plans</li><li>
Administer and grade assessments and then analyze and act on data</li><li>
Keep accurate and organized records of student information</li><li>
Use Responsive Classroom approach to cultivate a positive classroom culture including, but not limited to, morning meeting, teacher language, interactive modeling, and other related practices</li><li>
Foster an environment built on restorative practices by ensuring that students are building relationships with one another and repairing harm to the community
</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues across content areas and grade levels</li><li>
Attend and actively participate in all meetings including PLCs, grade level meetings, and PD sessions</li><li>
Conduct parent-teacher conferences as needed, as well as on-going parent communication</li><li>
Ensure the safety of students at all times</li><li>
Assist with non-instructional supervision of students, such as arrival/dismissal, hallway monitoring, substitute teaching, lunch and playground duty, or supervision of extracurricular activities</li><li>
Attend field trips throughout the year

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS<ul><li>

</li><li>Teachers with a bachelor's degree and between 0 &ndash; 10 years of experience can expect to receive an annualized base salary of $62,710 - $84,000 for the 2025-2026 school year. Teachers with a master's degree and between 0 &ndash; 10 years of experience can expect to receive an annualized base salary of $67,486 - $93,636 for the 2025-2026 school year.</li><li>
We believe teachers get better and are able to deepen their impact over time. Our scale for this role is designed to honor this, and we do not cap years of experience for an incoming teacher. Increases are offered each year based on your tenure.
