The individual will work to identify patient and family barriers to the treatment and management of Asthma and COPD, including providing resources to address social, economic, and financial barriers.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Requirements</b></h2><p><b>
Education: </b>Bachelors Degree in the prospective health care field required.</p><p><b>
Experience: </b>Two years of experience in his or her health care field, including in the care of the asthma and COPD patient.</p><p><b>
Certifications: </b>Certified Asthma Educator through the National Board for Respiratory Care- AE-C required . BLS certification required. Completion and passing of the Pulmonary Disease Educator Course is required within three months from the date of hire through the American Association for Respiratory Care.</p><p><b>
License: </b>Must have a license in one of the following health care fields: Respiratory Therapy (RRT) or Nursing (RN) through the Florida Department of Health.</p><p><b>
Other: </b>The individual must have excellent communication skills.</p><p>
