 Primary Purpose Of The Job
 
 
 
 Responsible for environmental engineering and compliance activities associated with onshore greenfield and brownfield project scopes. Provides technical input across detailed engineering design, procurement, installation, construction, and commissioning of onshore facilities to ensure full adherence to applicable environmental standards and regulatory requirements, particularly for power generation &amp; associated projects.
 
 
 
 Required Experience And Skills

 Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental engineering within the power generation industry, either with a power generation company or as part of a consultant/contractor team, preferably on major greenfield projects.
 </li>

 Experience managing and coordinating environmental interfaces with third parties and external authorities.

 <li>
 Experience developing and endorsing environmental/HSE specifications and participating in HSE/Environmental studies such as HAZID, EIA, ENVID, HIRA, and dispersion/modelling studies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of international environmental regulations, industry best practices, and company specifications/standards.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience developing and reviewing Operational or Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP), Waste Management Plans (WMP), Oil Spill Prevention and Response Plans, and related environmental procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with environmental impact assessment of process systems during drilling, construction, transportation, installation, commissioning, operation, and decommissioning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience assessing environmental risks related to decommissioning, abandonment, and demolition of existing facilities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong communication, presentation, and conflict management skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining oversight of critical technical issues and risks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to identify technical issues and escalate them appropriately to project management.

Drainage Design Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Drainage Design Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will be given an opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects and further develop skills and leadership expertise
What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing<ul><li>
Independently carry out design of stormwater drainage systems for various projects.</li><li>
Manage design of non-conventional/smart drainage systems and Sustainable Urban Drainage systems.</li><li>
Investigating and developing stormwater drainage designs with minimum supervision, based on principles of urban drainage design, SuDS, and Water sensitive design.</li><li>
Hydraulic and System design of the complex environment to meet site-specific requirements.</li><li>
Understanding the biological and physical process of stormwater management.</li><li>
Applying innovative ideas, technology, and value engineering solutions.</li><li>
Supervision and support to junior engineers.</li><li>
Undertake hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, and report writing.</li><li>
Work across all stages of a project, taking a high level of responsibility but under the coaching and support of our senior engineers.</li><li>
Coordinating with the CAD / BIM / 3-D modeling teams on projects.</li><li>
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.</li></ul> 
What Required Skills You&rsquo;ll Bring<ul><li>
Degree in Civil/Environmental/Hydrology and or Water Engineering from a reputable university</li><li>
Minimum 5+ years experience related to infrastructure and civil engineering projects, water engineering, including stormwater drainage design, catchment analysis, stormwater management, and planning.</li><li>
Sound knowledge of principles of hydrology and hydraulics.</li><li>
Experience of designing culverts, urban drainage systems and highway drainage is required.</li><li>
Demonstrated understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling/design software packages used in the design of surface drainage, piped networks, cross drainage, and flood analysis, i.e., CAD skills, SWMM, HEC RAS, and HEC-HMS knowledge.</li><li>
Excellent command with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.</li><li>
The capability of mathematics to create calculation sheets and perform further calculations where required to ensure the design is appropriate.</li><li>
Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS).</li></ul>
What Desired Skills You'll Bring<ul><li>
Master's Degree in Water Engineering/Hydrology would be an advantage.</li><li>
Chartered Engineer (CEng) qualified (or equivalent) or well-progressed towards qualification.</li><li>
Candidates working towards professional qualifications (PE, ICE, CIWEM, etc.) will be preferred.</li><li>
Experience with Infoworks ICM would be an added advantage.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills.</li><li>
