The prime role and function is responsible for conducting regular site surveillances, inspections, and audits within HIA and DIA premises to ensure site conditions meeting the requirements of EMS, CTO and other obligation requirements. The inspection is based on MATAR EMS and QR group standards and guidelines, and other applicable state environmental laws and regulations. The role also supporting general environmental monitoring activities, identifying site environmental issues, and recommending corrective actions to resolve the issues'</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Accountabilities</b></p><p><b>
Conduct routine environmental surveillance, inspections, and audits:</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Perform regular site surveillances and inspections across all airport facilities to identify environmental risks and issues impacting EMS and CTO requirements.</li><li>
Conduct site surveillance and inspections for potential and existing contaminated areas across the airport campus.</li><li>
Perform regular site surveillances, inspections, investigations, and audits for areas and facilities under the scope of EMS and CTO, assessing required pollution controls to remediate or mitigate issues.</li><li>
Conduct audits of various facilities and areas to ensure strict adherence to legal and regulatory environmental standards.</li></ul><p><b><br>
Environmental Monitoring and Data Management:</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Conduct regular general environmental monitoring across the campus, including air quality, emissions, noise, groundwater, spills, and wastewater.</li><li>
Conduct daily checks, monitoring, and data collection, coordinating with data sources for the organization and submission of data, reports, and documentation to FRC, Oracle system, SharePoint, and MECC portals.</li><li>
Conduct site inspections and checks for water quality testing and discharges.</li><li>
Monitor, track, and update activities in SharePoint, Oracle, and other company systems related to environmental monitoring regimes (e.g., groundwater, noise, air quality).</li><li>
Prepare monthly environmental monitoring reports by collecting and validating data from all sources for management review and other submissions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Hazardous Materials Management:</b></p><ul><li>
Conduct inspections to monitor hazardous materials handling, transport, storage, and disposal, including hazardous waste storage, handling, and disposal (in coordination with the waste team).</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Reporting and Documentation:</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Prepare detailed reports on site surveillances, inspections, and audit findings.</li><li>
Prepare environmental reports (monthly, quarterly, and as required) in the form of reports and presentation slides for management's review and submission to regulatory bodies.</li><li>
Prepare environmental incident/accident reports by investigating root causes and providing recommendations for management review.</li><li>
Maintain up-to-date records of EMS and CTO audits, inspections, and surveillance activities.</li><li>
Provide technical support for EMS and CTO requirements in terms of site inspection, audit, and documentation (e.g., updating registers, coordination and follow-ups with departments, subsidiaries, and other relevant stakeholders, database, reporting, and presentations).</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Environmental Compliance and Improvement:</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Review and implement all EMS SOPs, procedures, and processes to ensure environmental objectives are met and risks are brought to an acceptable level.</li><li>
Maintain environmental aspects and risks registers, including risks and opportunities, by regularly reviewing the document to ensure it remains updated.</li><li>
Conduct and/or participate in incident investigations involving environmental impacts and prepare post-incident reports (e.g., spills, releases of gases and liquid materials).</li><li>
Coordinate and collaborate with the environmental compliance team for any environmental issues arising on-site to assess and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.</li><li>
Assist in implementing new environmental programs and initiatives at the airport.</li><li>

The incumbent in this position is considered to have regulatory responsibilities and is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36, Florida Administrative Code.</div><br>

</div><div>The environmental specialist is expected to review residential applications and plans, accept and issue permits for residential systems, perform site evaluations, perform abandonment inspections, perform initial and final inspections of newly installed systems as well as inspections of repairs on systems, investigate sanitary nuisance complaints, and any enforcement duties to ensure compliance with public health standards. Field work involves heavy lifting and physical activity in an often-strenuous environment. The specialist determines seasonal high-water tables and seasonally inundated areas to determine system suitability and compliance with 62-6, Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statutes</div><br>

</div><div>When requested, the specialist may be required to meet or consult with clients, government officials, property owners, general contractors, engineers, septic tank contractors, and/or other interested parties regarding inspections and future development of sites to be served by an OSTDS. The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including but not limited to identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing the Electronic Article Surveillance and driving a shrink elimination culture in the store. Other responsibilities include: preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting your apprehensions and recoveries, preserving evidence, interacting with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report any hazardous or unsafe condition to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates and remain focused on store specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational responsibilities.</p></div><p></p>
