Responsibilities:

The EVS Assistant Manager is responsible for managing and supervising environmental services staff, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.<ul><li>
Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing daily operations of the environmental services team to ensure high standards of cleanliness.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and inventory of supplies and equipment.</li><li>
Conduct training sessions for staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.</li><li>
Effectively communicate with staff, residents, and facility management regarding operational needs and feedback.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>
Perform quality inspections of cleaning tasks and provide constructive feedback to team members.</li><li>
Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.</li><li>
Perform all other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent is required.</li><li>
Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management is desired.</li><li>
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.</li><li>
Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.</li><li>
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.</li><li>
Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.</li><li>
Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.</li><li>

Job Responsibilities:

Under direct supervision of the Housekeeping/Environmental Services manager, performs work of ordinary difficulty and assumes responsibilities in the area of Housekeeping/Environmental Services. General cleaning and routine related activities in assigned areas according to the department standards, policies and procedures. Maintains a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and hospital personnel.

<li>Cleans and sanitizes environment by completing daily, cycle, periodic, and project cleaning using appropriate equipment, chemicals and supplies, to provide a clean and safe environment.</li>
<li>Collects, transports and disposes of municipal, recycled and regulated medical waste. As required, segregates and packages waste to comply with all local, state and federal regulations regarding waste management.</li>
<li>Transports, moves and delivers furniture, equipment and other hospital related items as needed, using carts, hand trucks and dollies, in a safe manner.
