The OPS Biological Scientist I position is a professional, full-time (40 hr/week) position within the DOH-Hillsborough Epidemiology Program. This position supports the Florida Department of Health-Hillsborough County in data analysis, data visualization, mapping, and generating reports for a variety of programs including but not limited to STI, HIV, TB, Environmental Health, and WIC. This position requires the ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision. The incumbent conducts special projects, epidemiologic studies, research projects, and supports administrative and management activities. In-depth knowledge of principles and methods of research design, epidemiology, computer skills and knowledge of collection and analysis of statistical data is needed. The incumbent will conduct analyses of performance metrics, evaluate program outcomes, and produce actionable insights for program improvement across the Department. Conducts and/or attends health related meetings, staff meetings, committees, and workgroups. Assists with outreach activities, presentations, health fairs, and other community activities as needed.</div><br>
