About the Role

Position Overview: The Medical Delivery Technician is responsible for a wide range of delivery and assembly work, including maintenance and repair of home equipment. Tasks will include assembly, maintenance and delivery of seating and mobility positioning systems including wheelchairs, hospital beds and other mobility solutions. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities &amp; Qualifications: Driver Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provides high level of customer service at all times.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for assembly, repair and delivery of all products and equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for service calls as needed in the office and in the field.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for some evening and weekend support according to on-call schedules.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for instructing patients on proper use of care equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Must maintain high level of product knowledge on all provided equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for all paperwork to be signed, completed accurately.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining the physical and mechanical condition of his/her assigned company vehicle and/or work area.</li></ul><ul><li>Is responsible for completing all other duties and projects as requested by the Operations Manager.</li></ul><ul><li>Participation in the on-call rotation is needed.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist as needed in filling in at other branches</li></ul><ul><li>Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function of the job.</li></ul><ul><li>Complete 10 hours of continuing education credits relevant to this position, per renewal cycle, including up to 5 hours of in-house facility based In-Service continuing education and a minimum of 5 hours of approved peer review continuing education programs as directed by management.</li></ul>Warehouse Responsibilities: <ul><li>Responsible for verifying that all equipment leaving the warehouse has been cleaned, properly tagged, and properly operational.</li></ul><ul><li>Verifies that all driver-dropped equipment has a tag and correct documentation of information and serial numbers (if applicable) on delivery/pickup paperwork.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for cleaning equipment using Madacide, Steri-fab, or other manufacturer-recommended materials dropped off in the warehouse's dirty area.</li></ul><ul><li>Is responsible for the tagging of cleaned equipment with the proper Health Aid/VA tag.</li></ul><ul><li>Check equipment for functionality as per checklist. Complete minor repairs if needed. Document parts taken from stock on paperwork for inventory update.</li></ul><ul><li>Is responsible for the documentation on the Health Aid tag which includes the date, initials of the cleaning person and serial number of the equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain and clean the warehouse and facility common areas including bathrooms.
