We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Design &amp; Estimation Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the Design &amp; Estimation team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of project designs, cost estimates, and proposals. This role requires close collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to deliver high-quality design solutions and competitive cost estimates that align with project objectives, timelines, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
<ul><li>Lead, manage, and mentor the design and estimation team to ensure high performance and collaboration.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Allocate tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress to meet project timelines.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Oversee preparation and review of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Develop detailed project cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepare and present cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and other departments.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Act as the main point of contact for design and estimation-related client queries.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attend client meetings to gather requirements and present design and estimation proposals.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance of all design and estimation deliverables.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain proper documentation, reports, and records for management review.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and market prices.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Introduce innovative and sustainable solutions where applicable.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure that QHSE (Quality, Health and Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures are effectively implemented on-site.</li></ul>

Qualifications &amp; Skills
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Relevant discipline).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Proven experience in design and estimation management within engineering or construction projects.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Proficiency in design and estimation tools/software.</li></ul>
<ul><li>AUTOCAD experience is mandatory. REVIT/BIM knowledge is an added advantage.</li></ul>
<ul><li>A minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience in design of fire protection systems.</li></ul>

 Role Description
 
 
 
 This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo for a Tendering &amp; Estimation Manager at Sahmoud Construction. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the tendering and estimation process, including preparation of bids, evaluation of project requirements, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring cost estimates align with project goals and industry standards. The role will collaborate closely with procurement, sales, and project management teams to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in tender submissions. The manager will also develop strong client relationships and strive for continual process improvements.
