Eurasia Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Programs and Content, Events to play a central role in the strategy, editorial direction, and successful delivery of the firm&rsquo;s events portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess excellent editorial judgment, a journalist&rsquo;s instinct for narrative, and a strategist&rsquo;s understanding of what moves global business and policy conversations.
Based in New York or Washington, DC, this individual will design and develop world-class in-person and virtual event programs&mdash;ranging from global flagship summits to policymaker roundtables and executive dinners&mdash;with attendee profiles ranging from C-suite business leaders, policymakers, and leading experts, academics, and influencers.
Working closely with events marketing, operations, and sales, as well as practice leaders and sectoral analysts, this role ensures that all events are content-rich, commercially impactful, and aligned with Eurasia Group and GZERO Media brands. 
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Lead the editorial direction, strategy, and content development for a global portfolio of events, including flagship summits, livestreams, roundtables, and bespoke convenings across the US, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.</li><li>
Research global trends, policy shifts, and emerging themes to shape compelling event agendas, identifying emerging and relevant topics at the intersection of business, geopolitics, technology, and policy.</li><li>
Cultivate relationships with subject-matter experts, think tanks, NGOs, and private sector leaders to inform program development.</li><li>
Collaborate with the stakeholder engagement manager and practice teams to identify and secure high-profile speakers, prioritizing diversity of gender, race, cultural background, and perspective, as well as seniority and reputation (e.g., C-suite executives, ministers).</li><li>
Work alongside sales and commercial teams to create sponsor-relevant content and assist in pitches that drive event revenue, supporting overall sponsorship growth.</li><li>
Partner with marketing and events colleagues to deliver integrated campaigns, manage sponsorship fulfillment, and contribute to seamless event production and execution.</li><li>
Create new event series and platforms, leveraging bold editorial and commercial ideas to drive commercial growth and brand affinity.</li><li>

Requirements<ul><li>
5&ndash;7 years of event programming experience focused on geopolitics, macroeconomics, or related topics.</li><li>
Extensive experience designing and developing editorial programs for large-scale, complex global events within media, technology, or financial services organizations.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior executives, policymakers, and subject matter experts with executive presence and strong communication skills.</li><li>

About this Role

As the Director of Events and Live Journalism, you will work closely with the SVP and Head of U.S. Events on the account and logistical management of high-profile global and national events including signature summits, single topic forums, newsmaker interviews, thought leader roundtables, receptions and pop-up exchanges. Your Responsibilities

Job Details

 Ensure media plan is revised on a monthly basis

 Manage LRA and advertising budget and show aptitude for ensuring flexibility as business needs change

 Work with production teams &amp; Milan HQ from all local publications to ensure materials are supplied on time
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with Milan office to request artwork; track artwork from Milan to magazine&rsquo;s printer
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordination with local advertising for added value / marketing opportunities
 </li>
 <li>
 Track efficiency of advertising
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with Milan HQ to create robust monthly retail promotion calendar based on Global Omni-Channel calendar
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with malls to maximize opportunities through their marketing channels, paid &amp; organic
 </li>
 <li>
 Explore 3rd party partnerships to promote Versace products
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Event/Activation Management:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Identify groups for event partnerships to support retail and wholesale business
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop concept and execute grand opening events for new boutiques
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and maintain relationship with event suppliers (catering, florist, modeling agencies hair / make up, production teams, av, receive estimates and negotiate rates)
 </li>
 <li>
 Execute in store selling events
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with buyers and store managers to understand commercial needs
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with modeling agencies, catering company, tailors, florist, audio / visual to ensure each element is secured and in line with brand
 </li>
 <li>
 Order / prepare gifts for guests if necessary
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with charity and hostess to ensure / manage their role at event
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with graphics designer, printer to create and ensure invitations are sent in timely manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage guest list and RSVPs
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaison with Milan office to communicate event concept, invitation copy, and event recap
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaison with the press office to organize samples for selling events
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with style office to propose looks and run of show for selling events
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop metrics for events and track success (sales, new client acquisition, client conversion etc.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop a follow up plan to convert event clients to loyal clients in partnership with CRM team
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop concept and detailed timeline for each event
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Experience &amp; Key Competencies:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required
 </li>
 <li>
 3-5+ years of work experience in marketing and events organization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience within the retail sector preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to develop marketing plans, programs and promotional briefs.
 </li>
 <li>
 A passionate, energetic team oriented individual with strong analytical, interpersonal, creative and leadership skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience of managing budgets and invoicing
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong track record in marketing automation, campaign management, demand generation, direct marketing and database marketing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven entrepreneurial and creative skills to think beyond traditional marketing approaches.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
 </li>
