Required Education: 
<ul><li>Registered Nurses licensed in the State of Florida required.</li><li>Associates Degree in Nursing required.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Nursing or Education preferred.</li></ul></div><div>
Required Experience: 
<ul><li>Three (3) years&rsquo; experience in the Nursing Mental Health Field with a thorough understanding of the psychiatric patient required.</li><li>Requires thorough understanding of the principles of adult learning, preferably with experience developing and implementing educational programs.</li><li>Minimum of five (5) year of Supervisory or management experience required</li><li>Minimum of Two (2) years nursing management experience in a mental health facility required.</li></ul>

The Director of Nursing (DON) provides leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management of nursing services within Aspire Behavioral Health &amp; Developmental Disability Services, including outpatient behavioral health services, residential treatment programs, crisis services, substance use disorder programs, and intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) services.
The Director of Nursing ensures the delivery of safe, integrated, and person-centered healthcare services consistent with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards including SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) criteria, Medicaid requirements, DBHDD regulations, and CARF accreditation standards where applicable.
The DON promotes integrated behavioral health and physical health care, supports care coordination and population health management, and provides clinical leadership to nursing staff to ensure delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented services to individuals served by Aspire Behavioral Health &amp; Developmental Disability Services.

H. Duties/Responsibilities:
Clinical Services<ul><li>
Directs, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of nursing services within Aspire Behavioral Health &amp; Developmental Disability Services.</li><li>
Provides leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and other medical support personnel.</li><li>
Establishes and maintains clinical standards of nursing practice to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care.</li><li>
Oversees nursing services across outpatient behavioral health programs, substance use disorder treatment services, crisis programs, residential services, and developmental disability programs.</li><li>
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations including DBHDD standards, Medicaid requirements, SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) criteria, CARF accreditation standards, and public health regulations.</li><li>
Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures related to nursing services, medication administration, infection control, and clinical documentation.</li><li>
Oversees infection prevention and control programs and ensures adherence to public health and safety guidelines.</li><li>
Provides oversight of medication management practices, including medication storage, administration, reconciliation, monitoring, and disposal in accordance with regulatory standards.</li><li>
Coordinates with pharmacy providers to ensure proper medication services, compliance with medication regulations, and safe medication practices.</li><li>
Oversees laboratory services coordination including collection procedures, reporting processes, and clinical follow-up as appropriate.</li><li>
Ensures nursing involvement in health screenings, medical monitoring, and management of chronic health conditions for individuals receiving services.</li><li>
Promotes integrated care by coordinating nursing services with behavioral health providers, medical providers, care coordinators, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.</li><li>
Oversees the development and delivery of staff education, clinical training, and competency programs for nursing personnel.</li><li>
Participates in recruitment, hiring, supervision, performance evaluation, and professional development of nursing staff.</li><li>
Monitors clinical indicators, medication errors, incident reports, and adverse events and implements corrective actions to improve safety and quality of care.</li><li>
Ensures nursing compliance with clinical documentation standards and medical record requirements.</li><li>
Participates in regulatory reviews, licensing inspections, accreditation surveys, and organizational audits.</li><li>
Collaborates with leadership and program directors to support program development, clinical effectiveness, and service quality.</li><li>
Participates in organizational committees related to quality improvement, infection control, medication management, and risk management.</li><li>
Supports organizational emergency preparedness planning and ensures nursing staff are trained in emergency response procedures.</li><li>
Assists in monitoring nursing staffing levels and resource allocation to ensure effective service delivery.</li><li>
Promotes evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care practices across nursing services.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of Aspire Behavioral Health &amp; Developmental Disability Services.</li></ul>

The Director Magnet Programs and Nursing Clinical Excellence is responsible for entity specific activities related to the Magnet Program, professional nursing practice, research, evidence-based practice and outcomes management that improve patient care delivery. The Director is accountable for collaboration with nursing and other inter-professional leaders and serves under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.</div>

Utilizes evidence based in development of nursing practice standard in collaboration with the EHC VP of Professional Practice and Innovation.</li><li>
Oversees the operating entity Magnet Program and coordination of efforts to achieve and maintain Magnet Hospital or Clinic designation.</li><li>
Assures the Magnet framework is hardwired into the organization through coordination, education and consultation with clinical team members and leaders.</li><li>
Fosters innovation and excellence in nursing. Leads education for staff, leadership and Magnet Champions on key initiatives and Magnet principles.</li><li>
Conducts gap analysis for evidence of the Magnet Model components and works closely with leadership to formulate plans to close the gaps in performance.</li><li>
Oversees submission of nurse sensitive indicators to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) in concert with the EHI Office of Nursing Quality.</li><li>
Educates team members and facilitates an understanding of clinical practice and its impact on nurse sensitive quality data.</li><li>
Fosters an environment of shared governance and shared decision making and ensures shared governance structure is in place at the local level.</li><li>
Responsible for coordination and facilitation of the hospital's or clinic's nursing research and evidence-based program and related projects.</li></ul><div> 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</div><ul><li>
All nurses employed in roles requiring an unencumbered nursing license must have a valid, active license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.</li><li>
Masters degree in Nursing or related field required. If Masters in another field, must have a BSN. PhD or DNP strongly preferred.</li><li>
Previous experience in Magnet Program Director, Practice Council leader or document preparation strongly preferred.</li><li>
Must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.</li><li>
Previous experience in research process and evidence-based nursing practice preferred.</li><li>
Previously worked at a Magnet Recognized Hospital or health system preferred.</li><li>
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><div>
