 Annual Planning and Performance Management

 Contribute to the development of the Scientific, Curatorial, and Collection department&rsquo;s annual business plan in order to ensure that the Exhibition Design unit&rsquo;s activities and plans are aligned and congruent with the needs and plans of the department.
 </li>

 Monitor performance of the Exhibition Design unit in accordance of the direction set forth by the Strategy and Planning Sector, and prepare periodic reports on the performance of the Exhibition Design unit to ensure that the employee performance is continually measured and addressed in a timely and effective manner.

 Design Development

 Participate in the exhibition design development process from early concept, through design and fabrication, to installation and project completion for the design and installation team.

 Provide specialised cultural expertise around the development, implementation and management of exhibition activities of DCT&rsquo;s art collections and the new one for the new projects.

 Coordinate with Exhibition design team and Curators of the museum to create the strongest possible exhibitions programme for museums and develop conceptual ideas to support objectives in mobilising internal and external design resources.

 Coordinate with the line manager to successfully translate the curatorial and artistic vision for the exhibition through design and layout of the installation or exhibition.

 Generate and manage CAD drawings, computer renderings, and other visual materials to communicate exhibition design to all other departments as required.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Collaborate with curatorial staff to determine all aspects of the exhibition gallery environment and needs, including layout of artwork, wall construction, custom casework, finishes etc., as well as traveling exhibitions, as required.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Coordinate in the implementation of exhibition design in the museum galleries, whether design is developed in-house or by an outside designer
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Effectively coordinate with Fabrication/Construction and Exhibit staff to ensure that all design elements are executed according to plan and highest levels of design support for all development projects, permanent and temporary exhibits and special events.

 Manage architectural integrity of installation and the surrounding space as well as within the gallery space.
 </li>

 Manage outside design resources and conduct design progress reviews on regular and timely basis to ensure that the design work meets the highest professional standards, interests and creative needs of the museum are fully addressed by giving outside design resources consistent and detailed feedback on their work.

 The Curator will play a key role in the conception, development and implementation of Public Art Abu Dhabi projects and programmes. Part of the curatorial team, the Curator will work closely with artists, artist studios, galleries, production team, operations, public programmes in the development of Public Art Abu Dhabi projects.
