Summary of Responsibilities:</div><div></div><div>
Maintenance and Repair</div><ul><li><div>
Assist in the inspection, repair, installation, modification, rebuilding, construction, and maintenance of woodwork, masonry, roofing, doors, railings, porches, stairs, patios, walkways, plaster and drywall, locks and hardware, etc.</div></li><li><div>
Fix and repair storm windows, broken windows, insect and security screens, and other glaze and glass work</div></li><li><div>
Locate and eliminate entry points for pests, including bats, squirrels, mice, bees, wasps, and ants.</div></li><li><div>
Repair bathroom partitions</div></li><li><div>
Respond to emergencies, including floods, roof leaks, broken windows and screens, etc.</div></li><li><div>
Assist other trade shops with opening walls and ceilings, and closing them</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Campus Support</div><ul><li><div>
Set up and prepare for special functions, including staging, putting up banners and signs, etc.</div></li><li><div>
Move the contents of the offices, including books, desks, tables, etc.</div></li><li><div>
Install paper towel dispensers, toilet paper hangers, soap dispensers, and waste containers and dispensers</div></li><li><div>
Build and install new bookshelves and cases</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Painting</div><ul><li><div>
Prepare and paint interior and some exterior finishes</div></li></ul><div></div><div>
Qualifications:</div><div></div><div>
Required</div><ul><li><div>
High school diploma or equivalent</div></li><li><div>
1-3 years of maintenance experience</div></li><li><div>
Basic carpentry and/or construction skills</div></li><li><div>
Attention to detail</div></li><li><div>
Good written and verbal communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills</div></li><li><div>
Able to work evenings and weekends as needed, including emergencies</div></li><li><div>
Successful completion of required reference and background checks</div></li><li><div>
An acceptable criminal offender records information (CORI) check</div></li><li><div>
Successful completion of pre-employment physical and lift test</div></li><li><div>
Valid driver&rsquo;s license to drive college vehicles to team competition when necessary. Requires successful completion of Five College Risk Management driver credentialing program.<br>
