Job Purpose
The Specialist Structural Engineer will provide specialist-level technical expertise and engineering support for Civil and Structural engineering activities on ADNOC Offshore projects during the FEED, EPC, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning phases. The role is responsible for reviewing EPC Contractor deliverables, ensuring compliance with ADNOC specifications, international codes, project requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations while supporting successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
<ul><li>Provide specialist Civil and Structural engineering support throughout FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning phases.
</li><li>Review and approve EPC Contractor Civil and Structural engineering deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, material requisitions, and technical reports.
</li><li>Review structural analysis and design for offshore facilities including jackets, topsides, decks, bridges, modules, pipe racks, equipment foundations, and support structures.
</li><li>Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, international codes, and engineering best practices.
</li><li>Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability reviews, model reviews, and technical workshops.
</li><li>Review structural load calculations, foundation design, fatigue assessments, transportation, lifting, and installation analyses.
</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Pipeline, Marine, Geotechnical, and Construction disciplines.
</li><li>Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and material approvals.
</li><li>Review fabrication, transportation, offshore installation, and commissioning methodologies.
</li><li>Identify technical risks and provide practical engineering solutions to ensure safe and cost-effective project execution.
</li><li>Provide technical support during site visits, fabrication yards, offshore construction, and commissioning activities when required.
</li><li>Monitor engineering progress and ensure timely resolution of technical queries (TQs), site queries (SQs), and engineering change requests.
</li><li>Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedule, quality requirements, and HSE objectives.
</li><li>Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance within the Civil/Structural discipline.
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications &amp;Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, from an accredited university; or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil &amp; Gas or Petrochemical industry.
</li><li>Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on mega Oil &amp; Gas or Petrochemical projects.
</li><li>ADNOC &amp; Offshore project experience is required.
</li><li>PMC experiences are preferrable.

What You'll Be Doing:

<ul><li>Perform and review HVAC engineering deliverables for offshore oil and gas facilities during FEED and EPC phases.
</li><li>Review contractor HVAC designs, calculations, specifications, equipment data sheets, and technical bid evaluations.
</li><li>Ensure HVAC systems comply with ADNOC standards, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, API, ISO, and other applicable international codes.
</li><li>Review HVAC load calculations, ventilation studies, equipment sizing, duct routing, pressurization philosophy, and smoke management systems.
</li><li>Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil/Structural, Architectural, Safety, and Construction disciplines to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
</li><li>Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Constructability, Model Reviews, and Design Reviews.
</li><li>Review vendor documents and provide timely technical comments and approvals.
</li><li>Support procurement activities by reviewing technical queries, bid evaluations, and vendor offers.
</li><li>Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
</li><li>Review engineering changes, deviations, concession requests, and technical clarifications.
</li><li>Monitor engineering progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
</li><li>Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
</li><li>Support FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover activities.
</li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.
</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline from an accredited university.
</li><li>Professional Engineering certification or Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
</li></ul>Experience
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, from an accredited university; or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the Oil &amp; Gas or Petrochemical industry.
</li><li>Must have at least five (5) years of experience in a similar position on mega Oil &amp; Gas or Petrochemical projects.
</li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience working in the GCC region is required
</li><li>Proven experience in both FEED and EPC project execution.
</li><li>Offshore project experience is required.
</li><li>ADNOC offshore experience is required.
</li><li>Previous experience in a PMC environment is preferred.
