  The Role

 </strong>
 As a Facilities Maintenance Worker, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing City buildings to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained public facilities. This position performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC maintenance, and general facility upkeep. This role will be primarily assigned to support operations and maintenance at the City&rsquo;s Aquatics facilities.

 The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of facilities or building maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively while fostering a culture based on integrity and respect. You will work closely with Parks &amp; Recreation, Facilities staff, and other City departments to support the safe operation of City facilities.

<li>Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is a position that will act as the lead with facility operations and repairs as needed and requested by the Facilities Manager.</li>
<li>Assists with snow removal operations as needed in winter months.</li>
<li>Monitors supply inventories and will replenish stock to maintain adequate levels to meet operational needs.</li>

Our Maintenance Manager oversees keeping our residents living areas well-kept and serviced to high standards. You should also be able to resolve resident complaint and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detailed oriented and friendly.</p>

Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.</li>
<li>Prepares resident rooms for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets and general maintenance by either providing these activities or working as a team member to achieve these results.</li>
<li>Maintains the grounds by mowing, sweeping, and trimming trees and shrubs, or other activities, such that the outside grounds are always presentable.</li>
<li>Conducts daily inspections of the building exterior and ground equipment. Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control, and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly.</li>
<li>Keeps accurate maintenance records of work done, inventory and purchasing. Manages expenses through knowledge of budget. May purchase maintenance supplies, tools, and appliances. May maintain inventory of master key system.</li>

<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>

<li>Requires two years of related maintenance experience and some formal training in one or all of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing and cleaning.</li>

Positions assigned to this class perform various maintenance tasks on city buildings and facilities, including mechanical equipment repairs and inspections. Perform semi-independent preventative maintenance on HVAC/R. Oversees the work of private contractors and minor remodeling projects.</div><p></p>

Maintains written or electronic logs on preventative maintenance, cooling tower, water use, filter changes, belt life, bearing life and cooler pump life cycles, HVAC/R units, boilers and fans. Evaluates and recommends, HVAC/R replacements and new products to lower maintenance and operating costs of HVAC/R equipment.</li><li>
Maintain records and monitor activity on Energy Management Control Systems.</li><li>
Conduct safety inspections and checks of emergency lighting, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and fire sprinklers.</li><li>
Replace air filters on a routine schedule. Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks on vehicle and equipment. Monitor equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety.</li><li>
Obtain price quotes for suppliers and labor estimates for projects.</li><li>
Communicate verbal and written on projects and project needs to coworkers, vendors and contractors.</li><li>
May supervise lower-level facilities maintenance staff.</li><li>
May analyzes gauge and meter readings related to: pneumatic air, water pressure, water chemicals and solids content, refrigerant pressures, oil pressure and contaminant content. Maintain all records of evaporative cooling equipment. Replace belts, bearings and filters.</li><li>
