6 Evaluates programs and events for effectiveness and participation levels, assist in the development of new programs, and recommend program changes; track services provided, monitor results and generate operational/program reports as needed.
7 Provides input for the preparation of the Outdoor Adventure program&rsquo;s annual budget; seeks alternative funding for programs and facility enhancements including sponsorships, donations, and grants.
8 Develops and maintains cost-effective and revenue-generating recreation Outdoor Adventures programs and assures activities meet community needs, and are in compliance with all laws, policies, regulations, goals and safety standards.
9 Monitors registration of participants and promotes program participation using marketing tools such as brochures and fliers, social media content, and signage; prepares press releases and news articles for local papers; prepares agendas and presentations for Executive Team and Park Board meetings.
10 Purchases and maintains program supplies and equipment according to the DPARD Purchasing and Procurement policy and procedures.

12 Ensures full implementation and maintenance of the Rec Trac registration system.

<ul><li><ul><li> Direct and oversee the maintenance, repair, cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of company buildings, grounds, and related infrastructure.</li><li> Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, security, and other building systems.</li><li> Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, equipment issues, and opportunities for operational improvement.</li><li> Coordinate, prioritize, and monitor repair work, maintenance services, renovations, and facility improvement projects to support business continuity and workplace standards.</li><li> Manage vendor and contractor relationships, including sourcing, scheduling, service quality, contract compliance, and cost control.</li><li> Prepare, manage, and monitor facilities budgets related to maintenance, repairs, utilities, supplies, and capital expenditures.</li><li> Ensure compliance with applicable building, safety, environmental, accessibility, and workplace regulations, and maintain documentation to support compliance efforts.</li><li> Support workplace safety programs by coordinating inspections, maintaining emergency preparedness procedures, assisting with corrective actions, and promoting safe operating practices.</li><li> Oversee space planning, office moves, and facility modifications to meet operational and departmental needs.</li><li> Maintain accurate records related to work orders, inspections, preventive maintenance schedules, vendor services, warranties, and facility performance.</li><li> Respond to urgent building issues, operational disruptions, and facility-related emergencies in a timely and effective manner.</li><li> Partner with leadership and department teams to identify facility needs, improve service levels, and support an efficient, safe, and professional work environment.</li><li> Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul></li></ul>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Supervisory Responsibilities</h2>
<ul><li><ul><li> Provide leadership, direction, and daily oversight to facilities and maintenance staff, as applicable.</li><li> Assign work, establish priorities, and monitor performance to ensure timely completion of departmental responsibilities.</li><li> Support recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management for assigned team members.</li><li> Promote accountability, teamwork, customer service, and adherence to company policies and safety expectations.</li><li> Assist with workforce planning and resource allocation based on operational priorities and facility demands.</li></ul></li></ul>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li><ul><li> Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, business, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.</li><li> Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, building operations, maintenance leadership, or a related field.</li><li> Demonstrated experience managing preventive maintenance programs, vendor relationships, facility budgets, and building-related projects.</li><li> Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.</li><li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using work order, maintenance tracking, or facilities management systems.</li><li> Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.</li><li> Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to changing operational needs, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li> Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documents, service agreements, maintenance records, and regulatory guidance.</li><li> Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.</li></ul></li></ul>

Preferred Qualifications
<ul><li><ul><li> Professional certification in facilities management, building operations, safety, or a related discipline is a plus.</li><li> Experience working in multi-site, high-service, or regulated environments is preferred.</li><li> Experience working within Native American territories or Tribal communities is preferred.</li></ul></li></ul>

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
<ul><li><ul><li> Work is performed in office, building, and outdoor environments and may require regular walking, standing, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and navigating mechanical or maintenance areas.</li><li> May occasionally be required to lift, carry, push, or move materials, tools, or equipment up to 35 pounds.</li><li> Must be able to visually inspect building conditions and use a computer, phone, and other standard office or maintenance-related equipment.</li><li> May be exposed to varying temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, noise, dust, and other typical conditions associated with facility operations and maintenance activities.</li><li> Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.</li></ul></li></ul>
