Dauphin County Children &amp; Youth Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Caseworker 2. </b>The Caseworker 2 performs social service casework and case management for children, adolescents and their families by conducting interviews, assessing needs, and case planning. He/she establishes and maintains associated confidential records and collaborates with legal staff in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings pursuant to clients&rsquo; well-being. The Caseworker 2 may make task assignments to a Social Service Aide and reports directly to the Caseworker Supervisor.</div><p></p><p><b><br>
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><div><br>

An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver&rsquo;s license under 67 PA. This case worker will be working with people who are experiencing homelessness/living outside to connect them with resources and find shelter and/or housing for them. Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college level course work which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; <b>or</b></li><li>
A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; <b>or</b></li><li>
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.</li><li>
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.</li></ul><br>
