Intercept&reg;, developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children. 
 
This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family&rsquo;s home and community&ndash;Intercept&reg; is not an office-based program. 
 
Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family&rsquo;s unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills.</div><div>

 JOB PURPOSE:
 
 Provides services to children from 0 to 3 years of age with developmental delays. Conducts assessments and provides intervention and service coordination for children ages 0-3 referred to the First Steps ECI program. Provides consultation in area of expertise to families and other team members. Creates strategies to accomplish individualized outcomes for children and families. Is accountable for assigned property as well as submitting documentation for billing purposes.
 
 
 
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
 
 Bachelor degree as specified in the ECI policy on Education requirements for Early Intervention Specialist, i.e., Adaptive Physical Education, Child Development, Child Life, Communication Disorders, Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Family Studies Health Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, or equivalent degrees with ECI State Office approval or other related bachelor's degree with 18 hours of college credit, verified by an official transcript with a passing grade, that is directly related to early intervention; or credential as Early Intervention Specialist Professional (EIS)?Fully qualified.

GENERAL PURPOSE 
Stafford&rsquo;s &ldquo;All-In&rdquo; Tutoring Plan prioritizes student academic needs in grades 3-5 to include those who were unsuccessful at mastering content as demonstrated by their performance on previous state Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments and those who are identified as &ldquo;at risk&rdquo; by their teachers or through performance on various screeners and assessments. 
The Intervention Specialist role requires a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of educational practices and student needs. Provide academic content tutoring, primarily in English language arts and/or mathematics, as directed by the school administration</li><li>
Collaborate with staff members, including teachers, instructional specialists/coaches, to develop and implement individualized tutoring plans</li><li>
Review student instructional data to inform tutoring goals and objectives for each student and to inform programmatic offerings to address identified needs</li><li>
Collaborate with staff members to identify current grade-level content</li><li>
Develop and curate resources to support student acceleration to meet grade-level expectations through tutoring services</li><li>
Engage in and provide ongoing professional learning relevant to implementation of the division- and school-based intervention expectations, including instructional resources</li><li>
Schedule and coordinate school tutoring sessions</li><li>
Monitor, document, and report student progress and academic achievement</li><li>
Train other school-based staff to implement academic interventions and oversee the implementation and progress of students served by paraprofessionals.</li></ul>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE<ul><li>
Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Collegiate License. A Postgraduate Professional license is preferred.</li><li>
At least three years&rsquo; experience as a classroom teacher</li><li>
Reading/Math Specialist, Special Education, or ESOL endorsement, preferred but not required</li><li>
Training in the Science of Reading</li></ul>

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Work environment is at the assigned school location with limited exposure to dangerous chemicals or air quality elements and is light duty requiring occasional exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force to move or lift objects.</li><li>
