Attorney Assistance:<ul><li>
Track litigation process and assist with management of case.</li><li>

Prepare first drafts of necessary case pleadings.</li><li>
Execute workflow to ensure that incoming and outgoing mail is timely processed and delivered to necessary parties.</li><li>
Assist with case coverage during Attorney absences. Coordinate with other Attorneys to provide assistance to clients and outside counsel.</li><li>
Provide support to attorney for their marketing, CLE, professional and bar-related committees work and activities.</li></ul>
Client Experience:<ul><li>
Execute the intake workflow for potential new clients by phone and/or email to schedule them for a consultation with the appropriate attorney, including conflict check and entry; tracking down previous consult forms and resolve questionable conflict issues; inform potential clients if Firm cannot represent; and promptly scan attorney consultation notes and save to Zola Suite Lead.</li><li>
Execute workflow to open new client files.</li><li>
Maintain digital client files to include ensuring matter contacts are up to date.</li><li>
Maintain working knowledge of the client file.</li><li>
Provide information to clients (verbally and in writing) regarding status, track pending matters and documents. Provide information regarding procedures and explain processes.</li><li>
Meet with clients to review and sign documents as needed.</li><li>
Work directly with clients to complete necessary case-related forms and pleadings.</li><li>
Assist clients by troubleshooting questions/problems when Attorney unavailable.</li><li>
Take client phone calls, listen, and provide procedural information (gatekeeper duties).</li><li>
Schedule office and telephone appointments with attorneys.</li></ul>
Firm Initiatives<ul><li>
Provide coverage for other Paralegals during absences or overloads.</li><li>

Requirements:

Experience<ul><li>
3-5 years assisting attorneys practicing Oregon and/or Washington Family Law.</li><li>
Position prefers, but does not require, a bachelor&rsquo;s degree.</li><li>
Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in a private law firm.</li></ul>
Necessary Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities<ul><li>
Knowledge of local and state filing rules, procedures, and terminology.</li><li>
