 Summary
 
 
 Join our team as a Field Inspector, providing essential inspections and material testing on high-profile commercial projects throughout the Greater Elmira, NY area. Help ensure compliance on some of the regions most exciting construction sites.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform tests and inspections for soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, welding &amp; bolting, fireproofing &amp; firestopping, geotechnical investigations, and more.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate established standards.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate regularly with project managers.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete field data records and associated reports daily.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare for and complete continuing education for certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC).&nbsp;
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 HS Diploma required.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Must possess at least one International Code Council (ICC) Certification for one of the following Special Inspector Categories: reinforced concrete, soils, masonry, spray applied fireproofing, steel &amp; bolt or steel &amp; weld, or American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade 1, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate through a State Board.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, teammates, and clients, through clear communications and proactive progress reporting.&nbsp;
 </li>
 <li>
 Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Compensation: $23 - 32 / hour
