At almost every point in the medication use process, safety and efficiency can be increased with the comprehensive capabilities of the Pyxis medication management system. 
Job Overview:<ul><li>
The Field Service Engineer is a remote field-based position with daily travel to our customer locations within the assigned territory.</li><li>
Ideal candidates will reside within a 40-mile radius of where the position is based.</li><li>
Company vehicle provided.</li><li>
5% overnight travel possible and a valid driver&rsquo;s license is required.</li></ul>
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
They will provide remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis/Parata automated dispensing systems located within hospitals and other healthcare facilities within the region and in accordance with our customer support agreements to include DHA/DoD facilities.</li><li>
Respond to, evaluate, and prioritize work orders; diagnose, service, and resolve issues regarding proprietary hardware and software system components, retain ownership of the work order, bring up issues to the team lead and manager; log, track, and document all work order activity, and be capable of fully supporting all products within the region.</li><li>
Implement a preventive maintenance program, provide limited multi-functional support for our Sales and Implementation teams, and other support activities as applicable to the role</li><li>
Demonstrate a moderate use of competency and an appropriate ability to solve hardware and software problems</li><li>
Provide efficient field services to all BD customers in a timely manner, including but not limited to installations, in-servicing, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and sales support</li><li>
Maintain proper and accurate small parts inventory for the purpose of service and follow approved policies and procedures for inventory controls</li><li>
Provide accurate and timely documentation that details field activity, expenses, time distribution and other information as required</li><li>
Continue training and self-development to learn the products and applications of the company for success in the role, advance skills, and attend management approved seminars and training sessions to advance to the next level in 2-3 years</li><li>
Maintain company assets (car, tools, and inventories) securely and in working order</li><li>

Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or other technical field, or 3-5 years of related work experience</li><li>

Safety

Manpower Coordinator between departments

<li>Weekly manpower coordination meetings to discuss needs for the upcoming week</li>
<li>Reviewing project difficulty ranking to determine and coordinate proper resource allocation</li>
</ul>
Project closeout
<ul>
<li>Attend project closeout meetings as frequently as possible</li>
<li>Ensure feedback is given on the performance of the project/individual team members at the end of each project</li>
</ul>
Training and development
<ul><li>Audit Site Manager&rsquo;s performance regarding the training and development of their reports (on a bi-monthly basis)</li>
<li>Develop and communicate individual team member goals</li>
<li>Coach and guide senior level team members in application of training techniques</li>
<li>Develop training courses or programs as directed by the Division Manager (or above)</li>
<li>Lead/Conduct training courses for field personnel as directed by the Division Manager (or above)</li>
</ul>
Evaluation and reviews
<ul>
<li>Complete a minimum of one PBE (Project Based Evaluations) per site lead per month</li>
<li>Review PBEs with site lead upon completion, to track team member&rsquo;s progress</li>
<li>Prepare reviews, suggest merit increases for your reports on an annual basis</li>
<li>Once approved by the Vice President, conduct in person reviews with direct reports</li>
</ul>
Disciplinary
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with HR to review complaints, offences, or performance issues in the field</li>
<li>Determine what disciplinary actions are required conduct disciplinary meetings with Team Member</li>
<li>Develop Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for repeat offenders</li>
</ul>
Interviews and Onboarding
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with the recruiting team to review candidates</li>
<li>Complete interviews as Division needs arise</li>
<li>Coordinate with Division Manager to develop offers for potential new hires</li>
<li>Assign and schedule new hires for position specific onboarding</li>
<li>Conduct position specific training/orientation with newly hired team members</li></ul> 


What you will need to succeed&hellip;

<li>High school diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>7+ years of hands-on experience is required on electrical systems.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to communicate in an effective and professional manner with internal and external clients.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently without close supervision.</li>
<li>Possess and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li>
<li>Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet customer requirements.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to review emails/answer calls periodically on the weekend.</li>
<li>Some travel is required. Willingness to travel outside of assigned territory, including overnight stays, as necessary to meet customer requirements.</li>
<li>Must live or be willing to move to within a 90-minute drive of service coverage area.</li>

The base salary range for this position is $120,000-$150,000 annually.
